Comments about Zildjian Dave Grohl Signature Drumsticks:

I have been playing the Travis Barker sticks since 05. not that i care much if any for blink 182, They just felt awesome and had great feel and bounce. only problem is they are painted white, they leave marks over EVERYTHING. Which is too bad, because i loved the length and tips of those sticks. So when i decided to buy this months pile of sticks I thought i would try the Dave Grohl signature sticks, as well as a few packs of the Taylor Hawkins signature sticks. The ave Grohl pairs felt very nice. The same length as the old sticks i was using, all though felt a tinny bit small in width. Now i know why Grohl plays with gloves, because you got to keep a tight grip to keep em from sliding out, which was never a problem with my old sticks, but whatever, this might not even be a problem if you have smaller hands. They seem to have less bounce back then most sticks as well. Other than that, they still did extremely well, I have played over 7 hours on the first pair, and they are not showing any signs of giving up yet. And I liked them way better then the Taylor Hawkins sticks, that i ended up giving away to friends due to the fact that they were so stubby and heavy. Who can really tell another drummer " duuuude you have to use these sticks" anyways? so how can i recommend them? Best to head down to a local music shop and try em, or just grab one pack for starters... PS enclosed is a side by side pic of the Grohls on bottom, barkers in the middle and Hawkins on top. The Barker's being about 7 hours old.

Comments about Zildjian Dave Grohl Signature Drumsticks:

when i first heard that dave grohl came out with a signature drumstick, i just had to have them because dave grohl is my favorite drummer. i bought them at a local store in concord, because i know online musicians friend didnt have them yet, so i played them on an electric kit that they had there to get the feel of them. i liked them so much i got 2 pairs. they really look cool with daves design on there, and theyre pretty long so you can get the extra reach. the grip is also super perfect, at about a little bit over a 5b. ive never tried zildjian drumsticks so i was skeptical that theyd feel cheap and hollow like all the other drumsticks cymbal manufacturers make, but the weight is so good, it reminds me of alot of the old vaters i used to get. theyre more on the heavy side, but not too insanely heavy like the impregnated birch sticks. when musicians friend gets these in stock, i recommend getting many pairs of these. theyre the perfect stick.
