Great sticks...give em a try!
I simply do not understand how you can break these sticks unless you are hitting drum rims or hitting your cymbals on edge. I have used the nylon tipped version of these sticks for years and have yet to break one. I've worn them out, but never broken one. I beg to differ, I think it is all about technique.

These certainly let you hang on to your sticks, even when your hands get sweaty.
seem to hold up to my banging on the heads!

Comments about Zildjian Dip 5A Wood Drumsticks, Buy 3 Get 1 Free:

I am an active musician and I've used these sticks two or three times. They are a disappointment to me. They are flashy and have good grippers and are light, but about two weeks of playing will crack these babies. They are overrated and too expensive for their true worth.

Great Sticks! If you break them, you have bad technique.

Comments about Zildjian Dip 5A Wood Drumsticks, Buy 3 Get 1 Free:

I have used the DIP sticks, both nylon tip and wood tip, for years. I bought 9 pair more than 3 years ago and I am just now down to my last pair. Anyone who breaks 10 pair in a week DEFINITELY has bad technique. I have been a professional drummer for over 34 years and have used a lot of different styles, brands, and sizes. These sticks are definitely worth the money. I'm a heavy hitter as well. The only problem I have with these sticks is that the DIP coating wears off months before I wear out the sticks.

Bought these for two different drummer friends in two different bands. Both say they're great sticks and help a lot with not loosing sticks during heavy, fast drumming.

Please don't tell me you're breaking these sticks!! I play hard rock and over time, absolutely destroy these bad boys without ever breaking them!
They are crazy good sticks and I'll never buy another brand again, and believe me I've tried them all!
Stay in my hands like no other... Can't say enough about them!!

I use these sticks the majority of the time. They lessen fatigue in my wrists. I also rehearse with them at times to lessen the blister factor. If I feel irritation coming on during a performance, I change to wood sticks. The only difficulty I ever have with these sticks are during hot humid outdoor performances. I don't go to any performances without at least 2 pair in my bag.

I broke the first pair in 30 minutes. While I love the grip, the quality is not there. I am sticking with my Vic Firth sticks and figuring out something else to assist with grip.

I have enough knowledge about drum equipment, that i can tell the difference between when someone brakes something from bad technique, or just plain weak manufacturing.. And i hate to say it this way, but i think i have good enough technique that 10 pairs of decent sticks should have lasted me more than a week.. These have incredible playability, and the grip is actually a huge advantage, but they just don't as long as they should.
