OVERVIEW

Light feel with a superior grip.

Maple wood provides a lightweight alternative to Hickory. Maple sticks produce dark tones on your instruments and offer a softer feel. Supplement your favorite stick with a maple version to give your playing a new, yet very familiar treatment.

Zildjian's Maple DIP models are treated with a double coating of their exclusive DIP grip. This provides a desirable backweighting to the stick that is particularly noticeable in the lightweight maple models. If you're looking for a stick that gives you the maxiumum grip to relax your hands and still be light enough to fly, Maple DIPs are for you.

I bought a 5B maple pair of these sticks with a black grip in the past. I was so impressed with the first pair, when I needed to replace them I knew exactly what I wanted to get. This time around I seen the grips come in different colors now, so I had to get a green pair. The grip is bright electric green! As far as the actual sticks go, they're extremely durable and lightweight. I've had this pair for about a month or so now and aside from the normal wear and tear, they're still in near perfect condition. I had an issue with the grip wearing away after time on my first pair; I imagine these will wear away, too. If your hands get too sweaty, you still might lose a stick, but they grip better than no grip and don't leave your hands feeling sticky like tape. If you want a light, durable stick to use and you have a problem with slippage, give these a try. If you still lose your sticks, try some gloves!

I go these sticks and the first time I used them, within 30 seconds one of them broke. I wasn't playing hard or nothing i was just testing them out. These sticks wont last especially if your a rock drummer or any drummer that hits hard. They might be good for jazz or practice 9Practice pad).

They're thicker than normal 7A sticks, but they're just as light. So fast. Perfect wood tip for tasteful jazz / funk drumming with drier cymbals. Dope

Comments about Zildjian Maple Green DIP Drumsticks:

I play Drums/Bongos with a local Blues Band & recently bought about 6 different pairs of sticks trying to find the right sound/feel. I bought these sticks to use with my bongos because of the round tips - tapered stick tips tend to dent the bongo heads & eventually cause failure. These sticks work great - they are light & give a soft, quiet feel on the drums; I also like the grip on the handles, they allow me to relax my hands a bit & just play, as I don't worry about dropping the sticks.

Thought I'd give these a try to tame volume and be easy on my hands/wrists at practice. They didn't realy do either ... same volume as my 7A hickorys ... and no easier on the hands. Up side, they haven't broken after one solid 3-hr rehearsal.

Comments about Zildjian Maple Green DIP Drumsticks:

My favorite sticks to perform with because I'm a heavy hitter and I like the way these feel. Very lightweight, so they tend to not hold up as long as other sticks. Great for performing because the dip really helps to keep a good grip. I would recommend other sticks for practicing though because of how easy they are to break.

Comments about Zildjian Maple Green DIP Drumsticks:

I love these sticks all around. They look cool with the bright green grips and the feel is amazing. They have a great balance to them that really responds well to my playing. These are perfect for people suffering from joint pain or just want something lightweight. I suggest using them on practice pads or electronic drums since maple isn't as hard as hickory or oak and they would probably shatter fairly soon if you slammed them on an acoustic set. Overall though, for me, they are some of the best sticks I've used.
A few years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Since that time I've slowly began to see my drumming skills slip away because my hands are either too weak or too painful to hold the sticks for prolonged periods. However maple sticks are lighter and easier for me to use, and since I play electronic drums at church I don't need to worry about them breaking. I've tried maple sticks from Vater, Pro-Mark and now Zildjian. I loved my Pro-Marks but unfortunately the version I used has been discontinued, so I gave the Zildjian Maple Dip Series a try. These are by far the BEST of the maple sticks I've used! They are lightweight and I love the grips!
So far I'm very pleased with the quality of these sticks. I've used other various Zildjian models over the years and have found them to be some of the highest quality sticks with some great consistency
I feel the price was great, but finding a product that works for you and serves your needs is invaluable
