Massive output in a manageable size.
Physically and sonically the Accugroove El Whappo bass cab is big. It's got more moxie and mojo than most standard backline rigs. It can easily replace your 8x10 or multi-cab stack but probably weighs less (only 88 lbs.). The grandaddy of Accugroove's unique four-way cabs, the El Whappo brings together a 15" subwoofer, 12" woofer, 6" midrange, and 2 high-frequency tweeters in one cab.
Accugroove uses custom, lightweight neodymium-magnet speakers, and houses them in their own individual enclosure specifically tuned for optimal response. Every panel in an Accugroove cabinet is constructed from premium 3/4" void-free plywood using traditional dado and rabbet joints. Each cab has lots of other quality features: steel vibration-free grille; self-resetting protection circuit for midrange and high-frequency drivers; stackable locking corners; comfortable recessed handles; reliable 1,000W crossover circuit; 2 sealed 1/4" jacks; 2 Speakon jacks; and removable casters.
If you're serious about audiophile-quality sound for your bass, this is your cab. Order today!

i was looking for a power house cab that would give me the low end and the high end from my 6 string bass... on the high end on OTHER cabs it seems to either get lost in the large speakers OR is way to piercing in JUST a tweeter... this thing took my breathe away... i can play a lot of guitar style riffs on the high end and sometimes back up my guitarist on my 6 string and people really have given me some nice compliments... other bassists have really been overwhelmed by the intensity of this cab... mine is used BUT as soon as i have some more money i will be here getting a second one... i am using a EDEN 1250 amp and it can hurt you bad with this set up... BUY THIS AND FORGET ABOUT OTHER CABS.... you wont need anything else guaranteed...
I've had my El Whappo for a little over a year now and it has never disappointed. I've had compliments on my sound everywhere I go with this cabinet. I'm driving it with an Eden WT1205. I had one particular club gig a few months ago where we were all cranked up loud. I felt it was already deafening even through earplugs but the sound guy came up to me in the middle of our set and asked for a DI from my head because he thought the room was missing low end. (he wasn't running his subs). Anyway, I hit the bass enhance switch on the head and from that point on the stage shook with every bass note. Any sound you want, this cab delivers!
Amazing sound, but you will have to get used to how clear and distinct this cab is. You may find your amp is too noisy after you get it! It isn't as loud as one would expect, but it is punchy beyond belief. Not a "bassy" cabinet at all, and I felt a tiny bit disappointed, but I soon learned to love the precise bass this mega cab produces. I guess I will get the Whappo Grande next year if I still miss room-rattling bass!
I was so sick of muddy, fake sounding cabinets. I heard about how natural sounding Accugrooves cabinets are. So I decided to invest in the El Whappo. And sure enough, this thing DELIEVERS! Also, the maker of these cabs, Mark Wright, is a truly incredible person. Get yourself an Accugroove and hear for yourself how bass should be heard!!
Completely accurate reproduction of your signal chain without compromise. Handles Low B, but a Yamaha 1X18 sub will let you know what you're missing down there. The magic is in the regular realm, and this cab has actually turned heads based on its articulation and fundamental reproduction. A pair would make a great set of monitors! You will SAVE money in the long run buying this cabinet. But check the Whappo JR, as it is a close 2nd and lighter.
If you've ever dreamed of sounding live as you do in the studio, the El Whappo does it. Solid cab, easily moved (nice handles), sound out of this world! So true and natural. I've had mine about 7 months and can't imagine gigging without it...ever!
