The amp does very well for its price range and build.
The controls are straight-forward (except for the knotch) and easy to use - no surprises. I'd recommend using the ACTIVE input when practicing at home or recording (even if you have a PASSIVE bass) because the PASSIVE input tends to decrease the amount of dynamic playing which can be attained with this amp.
I play with a PASSIVE Ibanez 4 string Soundgear and a multi-effect pedal which is set-up for simple effects in the effects loop. I can tell you that I am completely satisfied with this purchase thus far.
The features are right for this level of amplifier. If you need more control over the tone, get a higher level amp. If you need the effects and such, get a different amp or add effects via the effects loop.
The clipping indicator indicates when you have REALLY pushed this amp harder than for which it's designed.
As others have previously stated, there is really no reason for the notch filter on this amplifier - the only discernible difference is heard when the knob is between 12 and 2.
For the price - it cannot be beat, even when it comes to quality. The amp is built very well for its price range.
If you intend on maxing this amp out, don't bother buying it - at volumes above 6 or 7 (of 10) it sounds like a really cheap amp. Play it at a lower volume or at least adjust the low down to reduce the muddiness at higher volumes.
If you're like me, you want an amp that allows you to practice at a reasonable volume with a band but don't need to play arenas or large venues (larger gigs will either require your band's own PA or they will have one set up in house).
For the price it cannot be beat.

Purchased the B100 out of necessity for a practice amp. My Fender Musicmaster Bass Amp I purchased in 1968 started breaking up on me. I have an Accoustic 360 I used to use for live gigs years ago, but seems a bit impracticle to use to practice at home. No surprises here. Accoustics quality is right on for this small amp as it is in the 360. Was taken aback at this little amps' weight, but can't complain after hearing how clear and loud it can go without distorting. The EQ allows you to alter the sound to your liking and it gives you quite a good range to play around with. Would have liked to have seen a headphone jack though. All in all, this a great purchase for the price. The quality and built is outstanding. Would 100% recommend purchasing it.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:
Got this Combo because of the price and was very surprised. The unit looks great and is of solid construction. It gets loud and stays clean at 3/4 full volume. Bass is tight. I was really surprised and happy with the output on this unit. If you crank the gain it gets dirty, a GOOD dirty. Have not played it at high volume more than twenty minutes at a time, but I can see no problem with long playing, The amp did not fade or struggle at all.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:
Bought this for my gf, who is a pretty serious beginner. She absolutely loves it but hopes she never has to move it because it is heavy and bulky. It has a very clear sound; easy to pick out the notes. EQ allows emphasis on low end or very bright. Not loud enough to keep up with drums. Overall a great deal for the money.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:
I had a SWR WorkingPro 15 that I got for cheap used, but it got stolen. I needed something fast and cheap. This amp exceeded my expectations. I got it on sale here for next to nothing. Overall, I probably prefer it over the SWR - its a little smaller and lighter, plenty loud, and sounds great. Sure, thhe SWR was a bit nicer, but for me, not nicer enough to be 3x the price, which is exactly why I bought this amp. And I'm totally happy with this purchase. I'm totally happy with the sound and volume of the amp. This thing has some great features like an FX loop and a 4 band EQ with a notch filter. I can use the FX loop as a DI.
This thing reminds me a lot of an Ampeg BA115 that I used for a bit, but again for a lot less dough.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:
I have been a guitar player and drummer for almost 30 years and in an effort to start gigging again and the inability to find a reliable bass player, have switched over to bass to complete the group. I did not want spend alot on a rig as i have alot invested in my other equipment especially just picking up the bass. I was completely blown away when the amp arrived. The feel of the knobs, jacks, handles tolex is top notch. The sound is the real kicker though. I have been exposed to every kind of bass rig out there and i can honestly say i have not heard better tone out of any combo than this. I have enough volume to keep up with my drummer and guitar player (and they are loud) in fact i had to back down the first time we used it. the flexibility of the amp is awesome but what i was most impressed with is its response to the volume and tone controls on my bass. I can set the amp and leave it and just adjust the tone with the bass to get any sound i want on the fly. This amp also accepts pedals well. Even though i think it is the best deal out there you dont have to feel you bought it because it was the best for the money as i see in so many reviews. This is a great amp even if it was 2 or 3 times more.

I own Peavy Max 112, but missed that feeling 'in your gut' when playing a 15 inch powerful amp. Acustic fills the bill at a modest price. I play for my own pleasure, so it won't be hauled around.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:
I really enjoy this amp. I just received it a few weeks ago and I've had no problems with it. Unlike a fender rumble amp the knobs are very responsive but not overly sensitive. Very good amp for the sale price. It is a pain to carry though, I try to keep it in the same spot as much as I can, but this is the curse of bass amps of any brand. I have not gigged with it yet but I would trust it.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:
It is 100watts and may not have enough power for a performance depnding on the instrumentation in your group but it has a descent enough sound and seems solid. A nice price and power level for an inexpensive practice amp in my opinion.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:
I purchased the amp because of the price and Acoustic's name in bass amps. The amp sounds good with a four string bass at mid volume but breaks up on a five string when using the low "B" string. The amp is a fair deal at the low price. I will use the amp more for my electronic drummer than for bass guitar.
Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:
Fantastic amp with SOLID LOW end.. I would get another one.
I like the EQ parameters as a fianl tweak in the MIDS.
Great from what i see! POTS are excellent
how could i possibly not give a 10
