I'm a long time player that has used many different high end amps in my time. I really never expected to get such amazing tone from a 20 watt practice amp. This thing produces well rounded accurate tones at any volume level. (Within reason) While I have a hard time imagining useing this amp for a band level practice, I fully intend to use it for some recording. The tones is really that good.
Price point for sound quality, this may infact be the best you can find on the market today for a practice amp.
This appears to be well built and fells very solid. The sound is nothing less than fantstic.
As I said, you will be hard pressed to find a true proctice amp that has the kind of tone this one has in the price range. For that matter, It is superior to many amps that carry a higher price tag.

I liked it when it worked but it died after 2 years and I doubt it's worth putting in the shop. Two years? Cheap chinese components. It's certainly not rthe old Acoustic quality. Sadly it sits next to a 1974 Fender Bassman that still works. Buy old gear, new stuff sucks.
This is a solid state amp. You think it would last forever. Two years is a little short.
The price is cheap and there's a reason.

Comments about Acoustic B20 1X12 Bass Combo Amplifier:
I bought an acoustic B20 about three years ago. It worked really well, it was stylish and it provided a nice big sound in a relatively small package. I used it at home and in small gigs with both my double bass and my fretless bass guitar, and it really did a great job with both instruments. Two years in, some of the aluminum covers on the knobs started falling off. No big deal I thought, since the amp still worked fine. Three years later, the little amp is completely dead. I think the fuse may need to be replaced, but I can't tell because the amp is hermetically sealed and impossible to open and work on. Really annoying. I gave it three stars for three good years-but I still can't recommend it because it broke.

Comments about Acoustic B20 1X12 Bass Combo Amplifier:
Great little amp @ 20 watts. The 12" speaker is the difference over most amps with this wattage. It has really clear tone and I've used it for both bass and guitar. Solid little amp.

Comments about Acoustic B20 1X12 Bass Combo Amplifier:
This is a great little amp especially for the money. It's small, light and portable. The 12" speaker is a major plus for an amp that's only putting out 20 watts. This gets more air moving for a good bass pulse at any volume. I have also been using this amp for guitar and it works quite well. There is enough volume to be heard even with my drummer's kit. Good clear tone. Excellent buy.
Comments about Acoustic B20 1X12 Bass Combo Amplifier:
I looked at few amps before getting this one. I have 2 bass guitars - the acoustic Dean and the Yamaha. Tried the Fender Rumble 15w - the acoustic guitar is louder than it. Went to the local shops and looked at a few others that were OK. Went home and called Musician's Friend and was really looking at the Peavey or Marshal (for the name). Salesman asked if he could make a recommendation and recommended this amp. Best advise I ever took - this is the BEST amp for practice. Works perfect on both the Acoustic Dean and my Yamaha RBX170. If you are a newbie and just not sure, don't hesitate to buy this one!! It ROCKS!
Simple is good for newbies like me. This thing is EASY to use, the manual comes with a few recommended settings on the tone knobs. Really has worked out great. I'm pleasantly surprised how loud this thing really is - only addition I would like to have is a XLR or 1/4 out to plug into a board. But, I can't take points off for that, its a practice amp.
Very well built. Unit seems solid
In this price range, this amp beats everything else hands down.

Comments about Acoustic B20 1X12 Bass Combo Amplifier:
Great little amp. It's become the signature sound of my band due to the blown circuit as mentioned above. Stop hesitating and get it. Trust me - It's better than any other you'll see here for this price.
Full-spectrum EQ installed stock. Definitely diggin' it.
Handled six months of full-volume abuse before a gasket. The irony is it actually sounds better after the fuse went. More gain = more fun! That being said, after the fuse went, the sound hasn't changed in the four years since I first bought it.
Can handle an awful lot for a bass amp. Fantastic for the price
Comments about Acoustic B20 1X12 Bass Combo Amplifier:
This amp does everything I ask of it. I needed a practice amp for around the house, it totally fits the bill. The mp3 jack was an added bonus, I can play songs I need to learn or tracs from my band, and play along with. When my wife needs to go to bed, no problem just plug in the headphones. Good Job Acoustic nice little practice amp.
Comments about Acoustic B20 1X12 Bass Combo Amplifier:
This is a great sounding amp. I love the 12" speaker. There aren't any bells and whistles, just the basics: 4 band EQ, line in and headphone jack. The diminsions listed are incorrect. It's a little bigger than I thought it would be. The actual diminsions are:19 1/4 H x 15 3/4 W x 12" D and weighs closer to 26 lbs.
There aren't many features except the 4 band EQ, two inputs, line in and headphone jack. Pretty much the basic stuff. I do like the 12' speaker versus the 10" that usually comes with a 20 watt amp.
Seems sturdy enough.
For the price, I can't complain. The amp sounds great. I bought this amp as a practice amp to use in my apartment. I saw the B100 was on sale for the same price, but I just play at home, do some recording etc so I didn't need all that power.

Comments about Acoustic B20 1X12 Bass Combo Amplifier:
I use this amp with a band I play in with an incredibly loud drummer and two guitarists with 200 watt amps. This little amp keeps up, even though it could be covered up if they go too loud. The sound I get out of this amp is amazing, even with my cheap Ibanez bass, and especially with my Fender P-Bass. The EQ lets you dial in almost exactly the tone you want, even though there isn't an adjustment for gain, which I wish there was. This amp is easily portable though, which is nice for when I have to lug my gear somewhere. Although far from professional, I love this amp, for both its sound and its looks, as it even looks really nice, not too flashy, a simple trim and nice blue light. As for roadworthiness, I've slammed all sorts of things into this, cases, stands, a guitar, I've even stood on it, and it barely even chips or dents. The sound is still great, and I will keep using this for as long as it lasts, which will probably be a while.
