I bought the Loar LH-309 & LH-319 arch-tops with P-90 pickups. My old amp was the Peavey EFX-112 100-watt acoustic amp. My Peavey amp sounded good with my flat-top acoustic guitar with a piezoelectric pickup. However, my arch-tops with P-90's sounded like a banjo on steroids. I then got myself a V-Tone Acoustic Amp Modeler, with very little change. Then I tried the ZOOM A-2.1 Acoustic Effects Pedal, & I became frustrated. Fast forward through a hundred more youtube videos, I sensed that I might need to try a tube amp, but a quality tube amp is expensive. I saw this amp advertised on my facebook wall. When I read one of the reviews about this amp wanting to sound like a tube amp, I decided to try it. Wow! What rich tone & distortion & Loud!! My girls sound so good with the Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp. Thanks For A Great Deal Musician's Friend!!!

Has a great clean sound, the overdrive channel sounds great with my strat, but horrible with my Les Paul. Get the Behringer Vintage Tube VT-999 for your Les Paul. Great practice amp, and I'd use it to play out. Sounds good enough on my home recordings. Get your own chorus/delay and phase shifter though, and just use the reverb on the effects.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:

My brother purchased this amp in September of 2014, and we was VERY impressed! He doesn't use and extra foot pedals or switches because the amp has so many setting already. He uses it with a Telecaster and a Les Paul for our Southern Gospel group and Bluegrass Gospel group. clear sound, very loud when need be, and there is no kind of hums buzzes or squeals especially when hooked into a good grounded outlet. we also use this amp in our recording studio by simply plugging it in to the recorder by the output jack on the back. I would recommend this amp to anyone.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:

I'm an acoustic-electric guitar player and had thought I needed an amp designed exclusively for acoustic-electrics. I bought this amp because of the reviews on the clean channel. They were completely correct. The clean channel is crystal clear allowing my high end Takamine and Breedlove guitars to sound exactly as they would un-amplified. The built-in effects are good but I rarely use them as I have a full Boss pedal set. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase and would buy another Acoustic amp again for either my guitars or acoustic and electric basses.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:

Let me start with the only negative point. I wish the company would provide a protective cover with this amplifier.

For the positives, this amp iw WELL worth the money. The features are very understandable and easy to use. The equilization is easy to operate and understand. Being a professional musician and sound engineer now for almost 30 years I can attest that one of the biggest secrets behind quality sound, is quality power amperage and amplification. Quality amperage is how you get that deep, rich tone most guitar players are looking for.

The moment it arrived and I felt its weight, I suspected a heavier amplifier internally, and was glad I was right. For that reason, this amp sounds great at lower and higher volumes. It does not take long to dial in the tones and sound you want. It shines in most all styles of music. And, that is one of its greatest assets.

There are plenty of amplifiers on the market today. But, this sturdy, versatile and perfectly priced amplifier is probably one of the best deals I have ever gotten.

Get it, you won't be disappointed!!

loud. even too loud. the volume knob doesn't allow for gradation. by the time you get to 3 it seems like you are on 10. The unit was defective and I sent it back. Sounded ok but then it kept cutting out. i was debating between this one and the peavey vypyr3. the acoustic cost less than the vypyr3, so i decided to get it. I think I will give the vypyr a try. Over all I think it might be better even for more money.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:

the reasons I gave it a glance:
owning the acoustic 8x10 cab for my bass and realizing how well it was constructed and also how Acoustic as a brand puts the musician (for instance the 8x10 is made to be loaded by your self with out strain

needed an amp that I would not out grow in a year or so(we all hate that)
                      killer price

                      behringer price fender quality.

                      THE GOOD:
                      simple intuitive controls
16 useable effects(yep i said useable not 2 good ones and 14 fillers)
headphone amp sounds really close to what comes out of the speakers
gain channel doesnt sound weak like most SS amps
                      clean channel sounds superb
light weight for its size and built like the workhorse it is
                      tons of mid range tweaking
clean lows and crisp(but not tinny) highs
loud yep its loud possibly too loud

                      The Bad:
2 channel footswitch not included (or to my knowledge not even offered) any 1/4" stereo plugged footswitch will work though so no real biggy there

at the lowest volume its simply too loud for night time practice (but the headphone amp is really good so again its a minor kind of thing)

no extension cab out, which means if you have a nice 4x12 laying around youll have to make a ext out port by unplugging the spade terminals and connecting them to a home made box (if your good with some simple diy skills its again a no biggy

                      final thoughts:

its much more than you would expect it to be do your self a favor and at least play through it for a few minutes at your local shop. Acoustic has been around in the background nearly as long as your top dogs and they have never dissapointed

the tone you want the price you'll love and the worksmanship that makes it worthy of its namesake

if its good enough for Rudy Sarzo its worth a second glance just saying
