Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
after fooling around with a while it grew on me. the gain seems a tad weak but if your going for something real heavier you'd probably gonna need a pedal for any amp anyway. seems very solid and a ball buster to carry. The amp looks may need to grow on you too. not a bad investment if you plan on performing or need a spare incase your halfstack blows its wod.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
What can I add that hasn't already been said. I bought this amp to use mainly as a home practice amp that has some kick to it. When Musician's Friend offered this as a Stupid Deal of the Day, I decided, what the hey! let's try it, and this amp has far surpassed anything I could've hoped for. The rhythm tone is clean and warm and the lead channel is bright and powerful. The effects are easy to use. I personally use the amps effects to minimum and run my guitar (a Fender Japanese Squire Strat) through my normal effects pedals with wa wa and volume pedals and I truly get inspired. It makes it fun to play and experiment. My normal instrument is the bass which I run through a Hartke HA-7000 head with 4 10" cones. I love the warmth. This Acoustic is also very good on the warm side. Don't be fooled by the price. This is a killer amp and for the money I don't believe you could go wrong, Have fun.

As an acoustic player who recently found himself with a Strat, this is a perfect amp for my purposes. Not very expensive, lots of control, good warm tone.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
Light enough & portable enough to use in computer based home recording studio plus small club venues ( less than 75 people). Restricted to pre-set effects but there is enough variability to get a nice sound. It is doing exactly what i expected and hoped it would do.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
Bottom line; this amp is an insane value in this price range. I am a long time playing & gigging musician; playing guitar, bass & drums for nearly 2 decades now (also a home recording studio hobbiest). Because I play so many instruments and am unfortunatley not rich, I have to seek out the best "bang for your buck" gear, which is half the fun IMO. This amp is everything you want and nothing you don't. It's just a really great sounding two channel rock amp. I've been disappointed in the past with modeling amplifiers I've purchased in this price range, so with this purchase I was looking for a good sounding, loud, durable 2-channel amp that didnt try to model other amps or get to crazy with FX...and that is exactly what this is. The effects section is superb too, the FX don't sound too cheesy or over the top, and it doesnt get mired-down in tap tempos, effects editing, LED tuners or any of that...you just select the effect and theres one knob for the level of the effect mixed into the signal. Perfect. It's just incredibley easy to dial in a really solid tone. The only con I can really even come up with is that it doesnt get the best tone when mic'd for recording, but even there it's still not terrible. For full-band practice and medium to even larger gigs (it gets seriously loud...and keeps it's good solid tone even at louder levels) it's dynamite. I play bass in my current band, and we practice at my house. My guitar player has stopped bringing his guitar rig altogether, because there's no need for it. He was blown away by the tone achievable with this amp. We even gig with it occasionally. Long story short, i bought this amp as kind of just a kick-around practice amp, and it has vastly exceeded my expections. It's even pretty well constructed. Do not hesitate to purchase this amp, you will be pelasantly suprised!

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
I bought the Acoustic G120 DSP from the used gear section of musicians friend. I am exceptionally pleased with it so far. It had a "scratch" on the side of it, and a "dent" in the bottom. This made the price less than 50% of retail. Damage is so insignificant I would not have noticed it without knowing it was there.
Clean channel is crisp, warm, and full. I have used it at home, and a couple of gigs with my band already. It has good warmth at low volume, and stays clean and warm all the way up the knob.
The Overdrive channel is fairly typical of a solid state amp. However, with a little bit of messing with it, I was able to find a good tone for my style.
The DSP are surprisingly good. I like delay, and while it's not very adjustable I would be able to use the onboard effects if I absolutely needed to.
Most of the time I'm going to be running an effects rig into the amp and play though the clean channel only, but it is super nice to have the option to go without. The chorus and reverb effects are nice. The 3 delay options are simple, but very good.
Overall, I am very pleased with the amp. I can't speak to it's longevity yet, but at the price, it doesn't have to live forever to be a great deal! One common question I have seen is if the amp works with a footswitch. Yes it does. I have a Hughes and Kettner double switch and the left switch controls the overdrive channel, and the right controls the DSP.
Thanks Musicians Friend!

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
I have used this amp at 3 gigs and multiple practices. The volume is more than adequate and i rarely turn it up above quarter volume. The sound quality is amazing with excellent tone and punch. I used a medium hall effect and it really brings out the sustain on my high end. Overall price versus quality, this amp can't be beat.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
Very well done amp. At the price point it has a lot of available features on it. And those features make it possible to get anywhere from a clean, to a classic rock, to heavy metal sound. The amps overdrive is reminiscent of a fuzz pedal, and the cleans are superb. Being a solid state it does lack some of the warmth of a tube, but its possible to add some warmth with effects pedals(overdrive). Overall a great amp well worth the money.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
I just bought this amp when it was on sale for half price last month, and wow this thing rocks, clean tones so warm sounding, distortion is good forall styles, but what what really takes the cake with this amp is when used with a metal distortion pedal, oh my. I use the metal zone and this and the amp make it sound like a mesa recto, such tone , and this thing is so loud that on 5 im drowning out my drummer. Bottom line, if you want a nice sounding amp get it, first time i heared it i thought it was tube.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:
This is my first amp over 20w and I am very pleased. Sounds great with very useful effects. Very easy to use, unlike other combos with hundreds of buttons and dials. Has everything I need AND a built in headphone jack. (Hard to find on a high output amp) Which makes my wife happy! The built in mp3/ipod jack works great for playing along with your favorite songs. Highly recommend.
