I bought the Loar LH-309 & LH-319 arch-tops with P-90 pickups. My old amp was the Peavey EFX-112 100-watt acoustic amp. My Peavey amp sounded good with my flat-top acoustic guitar with a piezoelectric pickup. However, my arch-tops with P-90's sounded like a banjo on steroids. I then got myself a V-Tone Acoustic Amp Modeler, with very little change. Then I tried the ZOOM A-2.1 Acoustic Effects Pedal, & I became frustrated. Fast forward through a hundred more youtube videos, I sensed that I might need to try a tube amp, but a quality tube amp is expensive. I saw this amp advertised on my facebook wall. When I read one of the reviews about this amp wanting to sound like a tube amp, I decided to try it. Wow! What rich tone & distortion & Loud!! My girls sound so good with the Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp. Thanks For A Great Deal Musician's Friend!!!

Has a great clean sound, the overdrive channel sounds great with my strat, but horrible with my Les Paul. Get the Behringer Vintage Tube VT-999 for your Les Paul. Great practice amp, and I'd use it to play out. Sounds good enough on my home recordings. Get your own chorus/delay and phase shifter though, and just use the reverb on the effects.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amp because of the weight. I have a 2 x 12 Lab amp that is a great amp but weighs a lot. I have played one gig with this amp and was very pleased. It is powerful and good sound. I am in a rock and roll band. Things I didn't like - no cover, no foot switch and you can't adjust the effects without doing it directly on the amp. You can shut the effects on and off with a foot switch, but not adjust them. I bought a foot switch that works great for very little money and my Lab amp cover fits this amp. I can lift it in my truck with one hand, much easier than the Lab amp. I recommend this amp.

Unless you are trying to fill a stadium with power keep it low. 1 is perfect for small venues of 100 or less area. at 4 my windows rattle and it can be heard across my yard which is 100 yards wide .This amp has some power, can't ever imagine using it all

It needs to be made clear in the add that you cannot use two instruments in the amp. You can only have one channel active at a time. So it is a one input amp.
Also the mp3 input has so much white noise that it is not worth trying to use.

It does have a clear sound, but not a good amp for a Traditional finger style guitar player.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:

If you are considering this amp and bother to read the reviews first you can believe both the negative and positive reviews. I received two of these amps, assuming I did not receive previously returned amps, they both exhibited a loud popping noise when you turned them off and there was also a good bit of white noise/hiss at idle. This was exacerbated when the volume, treble, and effects level was turned up (on the clean channel). I expect a certain amount of hum, noise on distortion channel, but not the clean. The noise is noticeable in quiet settings, If you were to mic this amp , you would definitely hear the noise through a PA. BUT, it obviously isn't "defective loud" as there are so many glowing reviews I can only assume those people are not concerned by the white noise or just don't notice it . Getting past the white noise and popping sound, the amp is fine. It is loud! and it gets loud quick By 9 o'clock on the dial the thing is shaking the walls. It's not really a "quiet, bedroom" amp, but that is what the headphone out is for. The cleans are good, nice full sound from the 12" speakers and open back, this thing will bark with hum buckers. The eq and mid shift offer a wide variety of tones . I'l only comment on the clean channel because realistically, the effects and distortion are more a personal preference, but I will say I think they are no better or worse than any other solid state amp. Bottom line , they regularly offer this amp for a significant sale price, which is why I bought it, you can't get 2-12" speakers and 120 watts for anywhere near the sale price, even at full price I'd still say it's significantly cheaper than many amps in it's range. It doesn't have modeling or tons of bells and whistles, just straight forward load and proud sound. And I think it's just as good as any other solid state in it's price range as far as sound goes.

I play this amp at jam sessions in my community which are generally open to the public. The response I get from this amp is just what I was looking for. The only thing it was lacking was a footswitch to switch between clean and dirty channels, but that can be rectified by the Boss FS6.

This amp packs a lot of power for the price. The sound is crisp and clean. It is LOUD - easily fills a large gym or auditorium and that's with the volume around 5 or 6. Ours was sold as blemished but after a few weeks I still haven't found the blemish - it looks and sounds brand new.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120 DSP 120W Guitar Combo Amp:

The title pretty much says it all, if you want an amp the sounds good: pay more. If you want to make loud noise, this one will get you more bang for the buck. First off: the on/ off switch, it barks a loud noise every time you turn the amp on or off, regardless of any volume settings/ volume and gain can be turned all the way down and it will still make an annoying 'bark' when switching. Second, altho it is a 2 channel amp, it lacks independent tone controls for each channel. I didn't realize how important this was when I bought it, but soon realized that if you want to switch between a 'hi gain' channel and a 'clean' one, you MAY want to have different tone settings (I know I wish I did). I did find an effects setting that I liked (#13), and I could get a desent sound and at loud volumes with it at that setting, but overall I was not impressed and eventually sold.
