I currently perform a solo act for happy hours at various corner bars, taverns, and resturaunts. I'm not really an act or a show, but provide mainly background music for the patrons of these establishments. The tips I make really make the difference in the amount that I make, so I really rely on my ability and equipment to impress the people. Because the venues are small, I don't really need the 140 watt combo that weighs 95 pounds. I use my guitar amp as my PA (unless the venue has their own). So I am mixing my pre-recorded music, my vocals, CD player, and guitar (using a Didgitech foot processor), into the mixer, and run it through my guitar amp. I really need a lot of low and midrange push from my amp to achieve a good sound for all of the equipment that I am using through it. That's what really makes this amp special. Great EQ. Good cabinet design, which projects vocals and background music well, and it makes my processed guitar, sound great. Highly effective. Loud enough for what I do, and it doesn't weigh too much. I am very immpressed by the Acoustic G35FX 35 watt 1x12" combo amp. I would recomend this amp to anyone. Great for practice or gigs as a stand alone amp. The judges score this one a 8.375
The FX features are good but, not great. The best FX sound is the reverb. A little thin, but sounds really good. The delay sounds great, but the delay time needs to be a little faster. I owned a GK ML250 that had a preset delay that was about 285ms, which was a great slapback effect, that went well with the preset chorus. The Acoustic delay comes in at about 600ms, and is just a little bit to slow for a preset. The chorus effect sounds really rich and full. I like it. One problem though. You can hear the timing thump, thump as it cycles through its mode. Not just a little, but alot. It sounds like a drum beat. I also do not like the 1/8" plug ins for the cd/mp3, or the headphones jacks. What, now I have to buy adapters? The power is outrageous though. Really loud for a 35 watt amp. With the 12" speaker, the sound really cuts through. And it has a good low end projection. Overall the features are very decent. If I could, I would rate the features at a 6.75, but not quite 7.0.
The Amp is put together really well. I'm positive that it will last a long time without any problems. I've had some Acoustic equipment that I've used in the past, and although the sound wasn't what I was looking for, they were always consitant and performed well. I fully expect the same with the new amp. Plus they have had a lot of tiem to work out all the kinks that there older amps had. Great quality.
For the amount of money that I paid, This amp rocks! My budget was very low, and I was looking for the best value deal that I could get and still have an amp loud enough to play the venues that I play, and not weigh alot. the perfect fit. I definintely recommend this amp to any one who wants just the right amount of power, projection, and value.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
If you're looking for a low power practice amp at home or in your studio this would probably suffice; beyond that, forget it! I found that the speaker started breaking up (clean channel) with my Strat plugged in directly BEFORE I had the amp volume level at the mid point. I found it very frustrating that Acoustic wouldn't put a speaker in that could handle the amp's maximum volume, let alone 50% of the volume. It was this reason only that I returned the amp. (I also own the big brother, the 100FX and LOVE IT.) Given the speaker limitations, I felt overly generous even giving this amp two stars.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
I got tired of hauling my Deluxe Reverbs/tube amps to rehearsals and purchased the G35FX to be my low cost, easy to carry practice/rehearsal amp. It is very light weight. The normal channel sounds ok to good, but is typical solid state. The clean channel @ 35watts isn't nearly as loud as my 20w tube amps. Barely loud enough to be heard over a medium hitting drummer. The OD channel gets louder, but the tone isn't usable for the stuff I play. All in all, this amp meets my needs at a good price, but I'm not in love with the tone... but at less than $150, I didn't expect to be.

This little amp with the big sound is a great value. Keep the gain low for blues with a little delay and crank the gain for some heavier rock. The amp is light and portable and is perfect for small gigs or using at church, etc. Very happy with the purchase.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
I'm very happy with this amp. The only draw back is that the overdrive some chords can be a little muddy. I think it's a great amp that can be use for recordings and live performances. And it's not very heavy to carry around. I'll keep it for the rest of my life.
I was really blown away how nice this amp sounds. I tested this little amp at Guitar Center with a Epiphone Les Paul Studio and I was amazed at what I was hearing. The tone has a nice warm feel and the digital delay/reverb are very pleasent. The OD channel has a great tone for the leads but, in some places the chords can be a little muddy (you can tweek it a bit with EQ's) It can get really loud and I can't play it pass the third volume level without disturbing other attendents at my apartments. Good tone and power at any level.
Good sound and weel built.
Good price.

Immediate good tone and Screaming Amp!
Incredible little amp, now my main squeeze!
Really well built. Great 12" speaker!
A true bargain!
Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
Amp has a nice sound to it in both channels. Amp is also very noisy with a constant hissing sound in both channels and when chorus is turned on a bump, bump, bumping noise can be heard.
To bad because it could be a nice amnp.
Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
Great amp at any price - best value you can find anywhere!
I had to give this Acoustic Lead G35FX amp more than a second thought to make sure it was only a 35 watt amp! It totally kicks, and maintains great tone at any volume. Then switch it into overdrive and you'll really start to doubt the reality of its wattage rating because this amp can hold its own against some much bigger amps. I also liked the price, which is why I currently own five amps from our friends at Accoustic.
