I currently perform a solo act for happy hours at various corner bars, taverns, and resturaunts. I'm not really an act or a show, but provide mainly background music for the patrons of these establishments. The tips I make really make the difference in the amount that I make, so I really rely on my ability and equipment to impress the people. Because the venues are small, I don't really need the 140 watt combo that weighs 95 pounds. I use my guitar amp as my PA (unless the venue has their own). So I am mixing my pre-recorded music, my vocals, CD player, and guitar (using a Didgitech foot processor), into the mixer, and run it through my guitar amp. I really need a lot of low and midrange push from my amp to achieve a good sound for all of the equipment that I am using through it. That's what really makes this amp special. Great EQ. Good cabinet design, which projects vocals and background music well, and it makes my processed guitar, sound great. Highly effective. Loud enough for what I do, and it doesn't weigh too much. I am very immpressed by the Acoustic G35FX 35 watt 1x12" combo amp. I would recomend this amp to anyone. Great for practice or gigs as a stand alone amp. The judges score this one a 8.375
The FX features are good but, not great. The best FX sound is the reverb. A little thin, but sounds really good. The delay sounds great, but the delay time needs to be a little faster. I owned a GK ML250 that had a preset delay that was about 285ms, which was a great slapback effect, that went well with the preset chorus. The Acoustic delay comes in at about 600ms, and is just a little bit to slow for a preset. The chorus effect sounds really rich and full. I like it. One problem though. You can hear the timing thump, thump as it cycles through its mode. Not just a little, but alot. It sounds like a drum beat. I also do not like the 1/8" plug ins for the cd/mp3, or the headphones jacks. What, now I have to buy adapters? The power is outrageous though. Really loud for a 35 watt amp. With the 12" speaker, the sound really cuts through. And it has a good low end projection. Overall the features are very decent. If I could, I would rate the features at a 6.75, but not quite 7.0.
The Amp is put together really well. I'm positive that it will last a long time without any problems. I've had some Acoustic equipment that I've used in the past, and although the sound wasn't what I was looking for, they were always consitant and performed well. I fully expect the same with the new amp. Plus they have had a lot of tiem to work out all the kinks that there older amps had. Great quality.
For the amount of money that I paid, This amp rocks! My budget was very low, and I was looking for the best value deal that I could get and still have an amp loud enough to play the venues that I play, and not weigh alot. the perfect fit. I definintely recommend this amp to any one who wants just the right amount of power, projection, and value.

I got tired of hauling my Deluxe Reverbs/tube amps to rehearsals and purchased the G35FX to be my low cost, easy to carry practice/rehearsal amp. It is very light weight. The normal channel sounds ok to good, but is typical solid state. The clean channel @ 35watts isn't nearly as loud as my 20w tube amps. Barely loud enough to be heard over a medium hitting drummer. The OD channel gets louder, but the tone isn't usable for the stuff I play. All in all, this amp meets my needs at a good price, but I'm not in love with the tone... but at less than $150, I didn't expect to be.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Seems sturdy enough. Light to carry and has a very nice handle. Amp is very bright in general. For example, I found setting the bass on 9 and treble on 1 with mid shift about 30%, was a good starting point. Anytime I got the treble close to 50%, it was waaaay too treble. Distortion channel is very much a "fuzz". I don't care for it, but some people like that sound. The clean channel is quite good. Running an old RP50 through the clean channel, I could get a good variety of useful tones. This amp could be used for live gigs if you mic it through a good PA. But just barely. Great for recording. Blows those little 10 and 20 watt practice amps out of the water. Sound is very subjective and YMMV.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I read the good reviews on this amp and i need at least 35 to 40 watts of power to play with the band i am in. Can not have anything less than that or i will not be heard above all the other players that are with me in this band. For the price i think i will order one and it sounds like it is built sturdy and will do the job for me. With what i read on the reviews i guess i can not go wrong on getting this guitar amp and it is a better product that acustic makes when it comes to amps that guitar players need.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

It's a really great amp for the price. Can work as a quiet practice amp, but really does turn up. The ONLY downside I can find is that the reverb/chorus level knob - you can turn the knob all the way off, but no matter what either reverb or chorus (depending which the push-switch is set to) is always on. As in, you can turn the effect up & down to increase/decrease the strength of the effect as usual, but it never completely cuts out so you don't get a "clean/no effect" sound ever. It could be a flaw in my wiring, but if it happens to anyone, it happened to me too. However, I use minimal chorus at all times any way, and that is my only reasoning behind 4 and not 5 stars. Great product!

bought to replace aging vintage Yahama 112. was really surprised with the punch it had at 35 watts. great clean sound. good reverb. fx good but not changeable. 12"speaker good. a plus vs 8"speaker in other models. no direct line out or footswitch for channels. lead channel warm with my Les Paul. with mid on descent metal sound with my Dime ML. over all Acoustic got it right.

Sounds great for its size, can hear over the drummer during practice. It isn't a stack, but it certainly can handle the job. Small bars, rehearsal rooms, and home studio set ups all work rather well with the Acoustic.
