This is the 4x10" cabinet that other brands bow to. A/B this Aguilar to any Ampeg and you'll immediately see why. The Aguilar has a powerful, well defined tone that simply makes you sound better. Hartke's are a joke by comparison. Other reviews have matched this to the Eden, SWR and the rest and well, you get the idea. The only downside to this Aguilar is that it is a bit heavy! It clocks in around 99lbs. Outside of that fact, it's the ultimate gigging cabinet.

This cabs owns. nuff said. i used to have an ampeg 6-10 (sounded great) but it was to much to move around all the time. Gigging once or more a week called for something else. THis 4-10 is the answer. im my opinion it sounds way better too. the aguilar doesnt texture the tone of your amp and bass like other cabs do. it also plays EXTREMELY tight on the low B. so if you need a loud, amazing cab. get one of these. i recomend it.

Just try any brand 410 next to it in any store and you will see why this thing is the filet mignon of cabs. Are you hungry!?

I was able to A/B this 410 against all the Eden and Ampeg cabs and thought this one stood well above in terms of mids and tone. HIGHLY recommended if you like burpy, punchy fingerstyle tone.

I have used this amp for a year. Great lows. I've A/B this next to SWR golliath and Eden 410.The GS410 was the best sounding cabinet.

I used my Ken Smith 5 string coco bolo bass with my ampeg SVT Pro 3 power amp all set to flat settings in the music store. The salesman switch from speaker cabinet to speaker cabinet while I played. I listened to the hartke 4.5 XL 4 x 10, Ampeg 4 x 10, SWR Goliath 4 x 10, Eden, trace elliot , Genz Benz, and a few other cabinets that I can't recall at the moment. It has been a year but I tell you when I played thru the Aguilar, boy!! there was no comparison, it was without a doubt the best sounding bass cabinet i have ever heard in it's natural state un-inhanced by any EQ just flat settings. I play approx 80 to 100 gigs a year and I absolutely luv this bass cabinet. what an enjoyable experience everytime I play and I play all styles of music except classical. I highly recommend this cabinet. Thank you Aguilar.........Norman from New York

You must consider this cabinet before making a purchase. Tight, punchy, even and balanced. This cabinet is very flat, the sound of your bass and amp comes through without color. Ampeg, Ashdown and Eden color the sound too much. It's as good as more expensive, hi-fi cabinets like Epifani and Bergantino, but less expensive. Highly recommended.
