Comments about Aguilar Tone Hammer 350 Bass Amp Head:

This head does the job, well most jobs, at 4 ohms. Forget about this at 8 ohms though. The head may be compact but you will need to haul around two cabs to make it fill the room. Even still you may need to push the amp loud. I can't be for sure if it's the head or the DB 112 cabs but the high end response changed as the volume went to the upper extremes of the head. It went from a very musical, tube like tone, to a harsher ice pick tone. I'd recommend this head for smaller moderate volume bands. For those who just say run the head through the PA, good idea but make sure your board has a pad. The output of this head seemed to clip the PA a lot. If they put a line out level control or at least a pad switch on the head it would be much more useful.

Comments about Aguilar Tone Hammer 350 Bass Amp Head:

It's an amazing bass amp, enough power to play almost anywhere and weighing almost nothing.

I use it with a single 4x10 cabinet and that's enough.

Using the gain and drive settings you can get a nice valve-like tone, I play rock and I'm very happy with it.

Comments about Aguilar Tone Hammer 350 Bass Amp Head:

This unit is very light, almost looks like a toy, but it has a big sound.

the sound can be tweaked a lot

labels above controls are too small, it's kind of hard to read

Comments about Aguilar Tone Hammer 350 Bass Amp Head:

My Mesa Boogie Walkabout had to go in for repair right before an upcoming gig and I needed something to use and I figured this would be a decent back up. well its a great back up but I might use it for more then that. It's just as loud and has a great tone like the Mesa and it takes up no space or weight so bringing it on a gig is no big deal at all. overall I'm very happy with it and hope it gives years of gigging like my Walkabout has up until now.
