I'm dissapointed in this amp because all the input jacks are plastic and the guitar input broke about a 90 days after using it . If you live in No. CA, buy something else because there are no service centers here for Alesis. Overall, not a good value .
Graet little amp for the money. Does not get tinny when you turn up the volume. Nice distortion and flange for a full jazz, rock or blues tone. I own 2 Mesa Boogie amps and I would highly recommend this one.You can't go wrong for the price and it saves tubes on my other amps when just practicing.
I got this amp for Christmas and a Ephiphone Les Paul guitar, and it sounds great. The volume on the amp is a little low but good enough for jammin' around the house. And all of the different effects it has on it makes it even better because I like all sorts of music. Ten stars all the way for me!!
I took the Spitfire 30 to a jam with some great musicians. Everyone wanted to try it and they all liked the sounds. We played all types of music from bluegrass to Metallica. We played blues, rock, country, stride, standards, jazz, and R&B. We found great sounds for every style. I was using my Fender Coronado II with demarzio Super II pickups. Other instruments included piano, fiddle, guitars, bass, harmonica, and drums.
After three months of use I couldn't be more pleased. This amp is easy to use and sounds great. It has settings for acoustic that are rich and creamy, and nine different types of distortion for any situation, and the effects are great. It has held up well under long hours of use (I teach five days a week), and since it is digital, it sounds just as good at low volumes as it does cranked. There is no delay when switching channels, like you might find on some other digital modelers. I highly recommend this amp.
I did a lot of research online and thought this amp might deliver, so I ordered a refubished model to save a few bucks. I was disappointed right after I played a few chords. It was making crackling noises and was humming loudly. I have ordered many items from this site and have never had this problem. I'll return it an try a different model, I guess.
Im in a band called the used and my cousin got the amp and I loved playing on it, it's a really good amp.
