BBD technology for super-low noise and tone control for boosting highs.

Unlike many chorus effect units that have limited high frequency response, the Arion SCH-Z features a special tone control that lets you boost the highs when needed. It uses BBD technology to get a superior low-noise chorus effect.

Just thought I'd add my two cents here. Right now, this, and the Small Clone Chorus, are the two main chorus pedals in my arsenal. The Arion is a pedal that has some versatility, can be quite prominent or subtle, and sits in the mix of your rig's sounds well. It also works well with cleans and supra distortions. It's also maleable and adaptable, whereas the Small Clone has a great core sound, but I find I have to adapt my sound and other pedals much more to get the Small Clone to sit well in my mix of pedals. I've also been through similar affairs from DOD and Ibanez (the recent'7 series')... If I were really after a chorus, I think I'd go straight for the Ibanez CS9. Some would go for the Small Stone perhaps. But some might even go for straight for the Arion. Ultimately, this pedal is great because it's far more than an 'also ran' chorus pedal. And, if you ever get the chance to run two rigs and utilize the stereo option?...pure nirvana.

I bought this pedal after reading a lot of reviews and the reviews were true, the pedal sounded awsome and had a very thick voice, my problem with it, it stoped working 46 days after it finally was shipped (I waited a whole month because of the backorder when I placed my order for it), the problem it showed me was that it wasn't mixing the wet signal into the output, put it out of its misery, great sound if it would last!!!

    cheap, simple, sounds good

I've played this pedal for seven years now, and I've only run into one problem: the cover for the battery comes off. Just duct tape it shut. The sound is phenomenal for the price, and its plastic casing holds up (seven years). Works great on clean or distortion, and doesn't change the vol. of your signal. This pedal will have a bigger impact on your creativity than your wallet.

Yeah, it is plastic. This thing sounds good though. It is adjustable and seems to be sturdy enough. Battery cover wants to come loose sometimes. Who cares?? Buy one!

    great pedal for price

    By ERT guitar

I was needing a chorus pedal that was straight forward and easy to use, this is that pedal. Right out of the box I hooked it up and had a great, lush sounding chorus in minutes. Three knobs..you don't need a manual to figure this thing out. I have owned others that had 20 differnt settings for chorus..who needs that? It is made of plastic, but it is still very strong. I would highly recommed this pedal, especally for the price.

    One of the best

I don't know what it is about Arion, but they've always seemed to have had a grip on good chorus. I had an Arion chorus/flange box 15 years ago... Since then I've owned a DOD, a Zoom, and a Digitech rack unit and whaddya know, this Arion unit is STILL better than all of those. The choral response is much more even and thicker-sounding to the ear, and the tone knob lets you pin down exactly where you want your resonance.

    Inconsistent Quality

    By Slej Hammer

I had an Arion chorus pedal a while ago and sold it - big mistake. It sounded great, and was very quiet and the chorus effect was super. The tone control knob is a great feature, and lets you use this as a bass chorus pedal as well without muddying up the bottom end. I missed the pedal's great tone so I bought another - ugh! Terribly noisy - it's sounds like a flange effect coming through my amp even when I'm not playing. I'll be returning this one and getting a Small Clone instead.

    Inexpensive and versitile

    By Anonymous

I bought this chorus pedal on sale and am very pleased with it. It can create a wide variety of sounds with Rate, Depth and High/Low Tone controls. I own a Fender Jazz bass and with this pedal I can almost perfectly replicate the sound Jaco Pastorius once had. It's definitely less durable than Boss mini pedals, but is holding up after a fair amount of usage. It's also convenient to have the 9V battery input right on the front, and that it is compatible with the Boss PSA-120 DC adapter. My only criticism is that when the input volume reaches a certain point it creates distortion through the pedal and starts to buzz, regardless of the amp's volume. This may just be true with my bass, because it has active pickups with an 18V power supply, but it may be more widespread. Other than that this is a solid choice.

CAN'T BEAT IT FOR THE PRICE

    By Thedude27

I have had this pedal for about a year now playing with a Fender Standard Strat through a Crate GLX1200, and it has never failed me once. I have even gigged with it on many occasions. As soon as I took it out of the box I fell in love with it. It is so versatile, you can get pretty much any kind of chorus you want out of it. Very easy to tweak and create just the sound you're looking for. And don't even get me started on the price. This baby sounds just as good, if not better, than it's $100+ counterparts. I would definitely recommend this pedal to anyone who values their money and knows that other chorus pedals are definitely not worth more.

    Yeah, it's kind of....AWSOME!!!

    By Maffle Man-13n0q

I just plugged this thing like and hour ago after it came in mail. Wow. The sound quality is way better than I expected, and it doesn't drain the tone out of my distortion (unlike the digitech chorus). Plus it gives a nice lush sound when on clean, using reverb, and delay. It really does make it sound like two guitars are playing. However, I found that a couple knob cominations can make it sound kinda cheap, but those can be easily adjusted so sound really wickedly cool. One cool thing I found was that if you turn all the knobs all the way to the right, it will kinda sound like a church organ or something (on clean channel).Of course, the only thing i didn't like was if was a plastic housing. Also, changing the battery looks like it would kinda hard and a pain in the @$$, but I've got a 1-Spot, so I don't need to worry about this pedal. In conclusion; great sound, great price, and I highly recomend it for all skill levels.
