Comments about Ampeg BA112V2 1x12 Bass Combo Amplifier:

This thing sounds great and stays cool with its built-in fan! The fan is pretty noisy, but when you're playing on stage with a band, it gets drowned out no problem. You can't hear the fan even if the only other noise is the amp itself, playing your bass through it. However, you'll need a pretty snappy noisegate if you're going to do recording. I wouldn't recommend recording with this since the fan is so noisy. I had trouble putting a mic up to it, anyway. If you're holding long notes that fade out, it'll pick up that fan towards the end. Other than that, it's awesome!

Also, The scrambler mixed with an external overdrive pedal sounds sick! Wish it had a line out, though...

Great for playing live!
Not the best for recording, but not the worst.

Comments about Ampeg BA112V2 1x12 Bass Combo Amplifier:

Picked up this amp about a week ago. I had previously owned the older version of the BA112 for about 8 years. The speaker eventually blew in that one so i figured might as well go for another ampeg.

This amp makes great for practicing and could even be used for lower volume shows.

With this amp you get that classic round ampeg tone. I play a 5 string and am able to get a really good tone out of each string from the low B to the high G. I really enjoy the AUX in feature as it really makes it easy to play along to your own music library. The scrambler is also a nice feature that was added into this version.

Bottom line.. if you need a good practice amp or something for small shows. Pick this one up. You won't be dissapointed.

Comments about Ampeg BA112V2 1x12 Bass Combo Amplifier:

This is one of the most easiest Bass Amps that I've ever had to set up. This amp has a great output and is going to replace my Hartke 410.
