From the masters of bad bass tone!
BXT enclosures feature American-made, custom cast-frame drivers, and 1" compression drivers for the horns. The crossover was designed to smoothly reproduce the mids and highs for a focused, naturally-scooped tone. Front-shelf ports produce extended low frequencies eliminating the need for additional cabinets. 1/4" and Neutrik Speakon connectors plus high-frequency protection.

Startling clarity. It will reproduce EVERY note and nuance so don't make any mistakes and think you can just slur by them. This speaker cab will match the best players' capabilities and exceed the average players' by leaps and bounds.
This is the best stand alone 2 x 10 I have ever played. It is more comparable to my old SWR Goliath III (4 x 10) than to my Goliath Jr.III (2 x 10). BUT WITH A MUCH BIGGER DEEPER BASS SOUND. This cab as well as all of the Ampeg BXT's have the smoooooothest horns I've ever heard - not harsh or brittle even on full volume. I also have an Ampeg BXT115HL4 (the matching 1 x 15) and together with my SWR SM400s - this is the best rig I've ever owned - and I've owned a lot of primo rigs over the decades. I thought that I would be using the 1 x 15 as a stand alone for smaller gigs, but not so. I take out this 2 x 10 on the smaller gigs because it is LOUD and FOCUSED! I do not like the fact that there is a handle only on one side. That means that the inputs and the horn volume (which are on the other side of the cab) are on the bottom when you carry it - but so far no damage. At 60 Lbs it's light enough to baby while you carry. Made of voidless birch with a front slotted port - these cabs are as high end as anything else out there - but voiced like an Ampeg. If you plan to slap and pop all night long, you might prefer an Eden or Epifani Cab. But if you want a rock solid hi quality traditional sound - comparable to a 4 x 10 - don't even think twice about this cab - just buy it.
I bought this cab about 2 months ago and all i can say is WOW. Who knew that 2 10's could sound so good and so loud. And i love the low end port for more growl. I combine this cab with an ampeg 4x10 and an svt-3 pro and it is crazy. The only slightly bad thing about this cab is that since the input is on the side of the cab, it only has one handle, making it a little harder to haul around. Other than that this thing rocks.
I have owned this amp for 2 weeks. I PLAYED TWO SHOWS WITH IT AND IT WAS GREAT! It was so loud that my guitar player had to tell me to turn it down.
This is the cabinet I've been waiting for all my playing career. I've been doing the 4x10+1x15 and 8x10 deal for over 16 years. I've been tired of lugging all the equipment around. I've been waiting for Ampeg to come out with a 2x10 floor monitor for years. This unit gives great tone and works perfect with my SVT3-Pro. Highly recommended for those that want great performance in a small package.
