For a $500+ amp, I'm hung up on the channel issue. If it were working, I'd give this amp a 9/10.
I might update this review if I exchange for another once I return this one.
Has common effects such as gain, treb/mid/bass, and reverb. Has dual channels and comes with stomp pad with channel selector and overdrive. What stands out is the wattage selector. You can half the watts making for a good practice amp/small gig amp.
Channel 1 doesn't work. I see another review here with the same issue, so I feel as though it may be a common occurrence with this model. Duplicating the effects on both channels, I have to max out the volume on channel 1 to hear anything, and even then, it's still too quiet. I will be returning this amp ASAP.
I may have received a dud, but as-is, for the price, this amp isn't worth it. The stomp pad is obsolete with my channel issue.

Someday I'll get my boogie but for now I'm all good with this GVT
The GVT52 single 12 is a great amp. Did my first gig with it in January. In full power mode, it more than keeps with the drums and an Ampeg SVT. Nice gritty clean when you crank the pre and ch.2 has great distortion for our music! Per channel EQ makes a huge difference in getting the sounds I need plus there's a master volume per channel so I can balance them perfectly. The celestion 7080 is cool but I might buy a Vintage 30 down the road.
Build quality is way better than my last Hot Rod. plus the clean channel has EQ.

This amp has a lot of promise, hopefully the one I received was a complete 1 off and other people don't have the same experience.
Half power mode, tone controls for each channel, built in boost and an optional footswitch for reverb and effects loop. Great features at this price point.
The one I received - Channel 1 was really quiet and the reverb didn't work.
This amp has a ton of features for this price point.

this is a amazing amp it has such a warm sound. its clear but when I throw on the distortion its just as warm. buy this amp you will not be disappointed. it can go from b.b king blues to thick srv sound, to gary moore with just a button. i love this amp i cant get over how amazing it is. there is nothing wrong with it just a perfect amp.
