Massive power and tone from a compact amp package.
The Ashdown Little Giant 1000 bass amp is so compact it will fit into the front pocket of an average bass guitar gig bag, yet it delivers a powerful 1000W punch with incredibly flexible tone shaping tools.
Measuring just 8-1/4"W x 2-3/5"H x 12-1/5"D, including an internal power supply, the Little Giant packs a comprehensive range of facilities including switchable active/passive instrument inputs, 7-band semi-parametric EQ for precise tone shaping, Deep and Shape switches for instant access to killer sounds, and an EQ in/out switch, along with an input level control and meter, output level control, and power switch.
Things are equally impressive around the back of this pint-sized powerhouse, with the amp head's pre/post switchable balanced DI output, FX send and return, line input and output, and a pair of combination Speakon/Jack speaker outputs.
Hooked up to a good bass cab, the Ashdown Little Giant comes alive with a full, rich sound and stunning dynamics that are amazing for an amp such diminutive weight and size.

This bass amp is really a great little head. The power is really what sold me on it and it is powerful. The tone it has is pretty transparent and even a little plain. I would compare it's tone to an aguilar head, clean and crisp but not much color. Sure it's a small head which is very nice, but I was hoping it would fit in the storage compartment of my bass case but it was about a half inch too tall. I know it's not a big complaint and I could just buy a taller bass case but I wish it would fit. Oh well it fits in my gig bag which is good enough for everything but a tour (because I want more protection on tour). All in all it's a great head not much in the tone department but a nice preamp or tone shaping pedals will fix that and really for 1000 watts it's just such a great deal. I would be happy if it was a little smaller and just had a gain knob and a volume knob. When you buy an amp like this you really don't buy it for the tone, it's all about power and portability those 2 are key for me.
