Comments about Ashdown PT60 1x10 60W Bass Combo Amp:

Using it to practice bass at home and listen to mp3s through. Could probably use it live when I don't want to deal with my huge bass rig. Has a built in direct out. Haven't used it a lot, but it seems like a great little amp for its size and price.

Comments about Ashdown PT60 1x10 60W Bass Combo Amp:

Great sounding and very well built starter bass combo. I'm primarily a non bass guitarist that uses short scale bass guitars to create a basic bass line for backbone on my guitar rhythms and leads. Not to large as to squeeze me out of my small room studio space. Warm, tight sound - good classic bass cabinet tone. No negative - this was one of those buys that really made me feel like this was worth every penny .

Comments about Ashdown PT60 1x10 60W Bass Combo Amp:

This is a very good bass combo amp. It has two input jacks (high and low). I use an Ibanez BTB bass with Bartoneli pickups and active equalizer. I did not experience any distortion using the high input. The sound is warm and there is plenty of volume for practice or small venue. One nice thing about this amp is the fact that you can add an extension speaker cab. I used a 12 inch single speaker guitar to check sound, and it sounded decent with good volume for medium sized gigs. The amp is light and you can connect it to a PA system using the XLR direct out. The only thing I do not like about this amp is the power switch location in the back of the amp.

I experienced some distortion using the low input, but no distortion with high input and gain at 3-4. No rattle or buzzes either. Very solid amp.

The amp did not come with App Tek cable. The descriptions states it does come with the cable, but mine did not have it.

Overall it is a good practice amp with its 10 inch speaker. Adding an extension cabs adds more volume

Comments about Ashdown PT60 1x10 60W Bass Combo Amp:

I wanted to pick up a bass rig again after focusing on guitar for the past five or six years. On paper, this was the perfect amp for what I needed. It had enough power to practice and a direct out if I got a gig. When I first plugged it in, the power was there, all of the knobs were solid and the construction was really nice. When I started playing though, there was a slight distortion. I checked the overdrive channel to make sure everything was turned off and it was. I turned it up and played for about ten minutes and the distortion didn't go away. I ended up turning off the internal speaker and plugging it in to my 2x12 cab. It sounded fantastic. I then turned the internal speaker back on and the distortion was back. Had the speaker worked properly, this would have been a great amp. If you are willing to take a chance, it could be a steal for you. I ended up returning the amp and buying an Ampeg BA-110. Not quite as powerful and no direct out, but it sounds great.
