OVERVIEW

Big bass punch with great clarity.

250W, 2 x 10" Speaker Cabinet with Tweeter
After months of research & development, Ashdown has designed a range of products that are equipped with more features, more power, new stylish designs and best of all, a dramatic reduction in size and weight. The Rootmaster range of bass amplifiers truly stands out from the crowd.

The RM-MAG-210T speaker enclosure is equipped with two Ashdown 10" speakers, as well as a tweeter. It can handle a 250 Watt payload at 8 Ohms, helping to bring the bass to the front of the mix with ease. The Rootmaster Slim cabinetry utilizes an Acoustic Suspension design that maximizes transducer performance by mitigating unwanted resonance. This delivers tighter, more accurate low frequencies, enabling the Rootmaster system to be highly efficient. The all new MAG RM range is the solution for bassists who need affordable and dependable light weight power houses that present real low-end power.

Loaded with custom Ashdown drivers for exceptional attack, clarity and low-end performance, Rootmaster cabinets are engineered for performance and reliability. Rootmaster cabs are now sealed creating an infinite baffle for smoother low-end response and faster attack.

Solid construction is paired with hard-wearing vinyl coverings, protective corners, tough grille cloths and vibration-reducing rubber feet, a combination that delivers powerful sound and hard-wearing longevity that'll stand up to years of use.

The RM-MAG-210T delivers punchy sound through two robust Ashdown 10" speakers, with an HF tweeter for increased definition and snap. It can handle a 250W payload at 8 ohms, helping to bring the bass to the front of the mix with ease.

Comments about Ashdown Rootmaster 250W 2x10 Bass Speaker Cab:

This was a level 3 scratch and dent item and it was dirt cheap. Big crease across the front of the cabinet. When I plugged it up it sounded beyond broken. Five screws were at the bottom of the grill with one speaker held in by one screw and the other held in by a screw and one falling out. I was not happy, took a bunch of pictures and was ready to (expletive) express my disbelief that no one checked this out before it was resold.
I ckecked the crossover it was fine, all wiring good and decided to rotate and remount the speakers. Redrilled the mounting screws and reinforced the speaker to the facing board. Plugged it back up and this cabinet rocks. Played it for about two hours, rechecked the speakers and they were rock solid. Rehearsed with it and the speakers are still solid. The facing board is a type of pressed wood with the speakers correctly drllled and mounted. Back in the days, it was not uncommon to retighten the speakers in the cabinets every time we came back off the road, as routine maintenance. Pushing a lot of power at high volume will vibrate speakers loose in a couple of nights. If you do not rotate and remount them, they begin to rattle and even fall out.
I came out lucky and ended up with a decent cabinet. Overall, it sounds good and has no rattles. Good bass response and rebuilt to last. I am glad I kept it.
