First off I have owned 3 of these heads keep buying em as backups and then get offers and sell em everytime finding the next one even cheaper... something keeps drawing me to these heads.. I use a rp1000 processor so Im using the clean channel and the effects loop... The only problem I find with these heads are that they dont get any louder after 7 it just starts clipping.. the second is using the effects loop creates a lower output than not using it.. So its worthless on stage cuz you wont get the volume you seek unless the pedals you use with it gives you lots of gain.. oh one more thing it does sound very good... but it doesnt sound anything close to a valve amp.. only SS amps that I've found come close to that are the Vypyrs by peavey. If you want a cheap decent amp that you can live with..this will work for you but if you are going to use the 4 cable method for connecting the effects loop .. of course depending what you have on the pedal board.. you may or may not be dissapointed.. If you dont use the loop it definitely has ample volume..not earth shaking but loud

Ok first off this is no tube amp so don't expect to get the sound of a tube amp out of this... Now this is one amazing Solid State Head though. It gets extremely loud and powerful!! I havent cranked past 3 for non gigging play. i have pushed it to 7 for gigs though and it is super loud!!! I didnt like the distortion so i bought a DigiTech Distortion Factory... The amp has the distortion of very old Job for a Cowboy... I play with an Ibanez S470DX with EMG 81TW EMG S and EMG 89R and an Epiphone Les Paul i custom painted with a Seymore Duncan invader and stock neck pickup... The amp sounds good and I run it through a Crate Blue Voodoo Cabinet. BUY IT if your looking for something cheap but good!

i use to play a fender princeton choures but after i played thogh a b52 i loved it so much i bought this head and i have had for about 2 and a half years and it still is amazing but the coating comes of easy but nothin that duck tape can fix
I have had the pleasure of owning a b-52 stealth series amp on 3 different occasions over a 4 year period. As I'm not one who cares for anything "tubed", I opted for the Stealth Series Lg100a head and cabinet pair or the lg10012s combo, and they've never failed to deliver ball-out sound that no tube amp can deliver, in my opinion. I never fail to have someone come up to me asking about my sound while at a gig. Killer price, well-built, and a great sound right out of the box...
This solid state amp is great for the price. I purchased one and tried it out and have had it for a little of a year now. I must say the clean channel is tube like except for the fact it distorts when turned up. It gets really loud before it distorts if you use the master control first. The two distortion modes are pretty decent. The first one has a classic rock kind of tone. The second one has a more hard rock tone and you can get it to sound like OLD Job For a Cowboy. Its good for the price but if you can afford a tube amp buy one!!!!
There are a few downers to the amp, but nothing too major. First the clean channel does get gain the higher you turn the volume knob, but that is easily fixed by turning the master knob up first and then following with the channel knob. The clean channel also sounds very tube like and warm. Very nice sound. Secondly, the reverb does thin this the tone so I don't use it at all. Finaly the overdrive channels. Aside from the hissing that both channels make, (which I use a MXR noise gate to fix) this is what I have to say about them. The overdrive 1 is very nice for classic rock sounds and have good tone versatility with the contour knob. The overdrive 2 is pretty good other than it's hard to bring the tone out without a booster petal, but if you can bring out the full tone it's very nice sounding. I generally always use my Guyatone Metal Monster which I will soon replace with a Metal Muff. overall this is a great value for a decent head.
I bought this amp a year ago, and thought it sounded wonderful in the store. At low volumes, it emulates a tube amp pretty nicely, but once you crank it, that hissy solid state sound hits pretty hard. For the price, it's a nice amp, but if you can, save up for the B-52 AT-100. There are really only two problems with this amp: the reverb thins the tone to an almost unlistenable state, and the clean channel is incredibly loud. It starts to distort after 8 o' clock. I guess this is supposed to simulate tube overdrive? Eh, nice try, anyway.Overall, it's a decent head. Not great, but decent.
I got mine Sunday cheaper then list price. It?s a good head and well worth every penny.
I just bought one of these today and it is amazing! im playing a Dean Vendetta XM with Dimarzio pickups, through an old Hartke cab. The head has an amazing clean channel, as well as distortion! I plan on buying the matching cabinet to go with it as well.
I got this amp about a month ago and its still holding up with out any bumps or bruises. The gain channels are descent but they lack clarity. I can't seem to get a good sound out of the first channel but I just run a green screamer through the clean channel so I really don't even use the gain channels. Overall its pretty good theres better amps out there, but not for this price.
