Ok, first off this thing is LOUD. It plays with drums at about 3, and it plays with a 75W spider at full volume at about 8. The clean channel is some amazing mix between marshal and fender, it sounds like a dream. Both of the overdrive channels can be used from anything from classic rock to death metal, but they will never be as good as a nice pedal. The only problem i've had is that it doesn't handle active pickups as well as other amps. Really its a shame that B-52 seems to be discontinuing their cheaper amps, i guess not enough people trusted a less popular brand as good as this one. Get this amp while you have the chance!
This amp blows my neighbors away frequently. The Distortion/OD is hot as hell, the clean channel is refreshingly crisp and the spring reverb is handy. Overall it's an excellent value both in price as well as usability. This amp combo would be a value at twice the price.
I am looking for a Solid State amp to replace my beloved Vintage Club, wich is all-tube and its a lil fragile for the road. This amp was a great big surprise, since it looks like an amp I would not even give a try. But a friend said I should and so I did. Try and buy, thats what my friend said, and he was right, for this amp ROCKS HARD, loud and warm.I did try this amp righ beside a Fender Frontman 212, and the B-52 is cheaper, louder, warmer and lots of other "ers" around. Only tundown is this amp looks as cheap as it is, its looks does not honor its sounds.I will probably buy one and customize it looks...
Pumps out alot of sound and the controls for distortion allow you to shape the sound quite well. The clean sound you get out of this is absolutely amazing as well. Even with such hot coils as my schecter hellraiser, it produced the coolest, clean sound you could imagine.
This amp is a lot better than I thought it was gonna be. I needed something that could be heard over my drummer, and I got something that could be heard over a 747. Only at 5 it shakes my house. The features are great and the foot pedal really helps. The two distortions also are great sounding. The clean is amazing and I couldn't be happier with it. A great amp for a great price.
First of all let me say evey time i've played with people in a band I used a tube combo, so I was a little afraid of how big of a difference there would be between this and a tube. As soon as I saw it I was very excited to try it, and i got my epi doubleneck sat and played it for like 30 mins non stop. I was very happy with the way it works. the gain 2 is batter at higher volume, and it can work for led zeppelin since that is basically what I use it for. I can get some good blues, and also some hard rock, and metal. The clean channel can get pretty loud which I didn't expect. The reverb is a nice touch. The footswitch is easy to use which is very good. The only thing that is semi complainable is that the volume controls both channels (by a mastervolume). Overall a very veritale and good amp I recomend it!
I was very impressed with this amp. It was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a solid state (because I do not gig) for features and great cleans on which to build. Not only are the cleans bright and neat, the low end amazed me. I was even more impressed by the on-board features. The overdrive dual options are great to the point that I run no other effects at all. The reverb is nice and subtle as well.
This amp is very well built. The sound is very good for a solid state amp.The included casters are nice,as the amp is pretty heavy. The LG-7512 exceeded my expectations considerably.Very nice solid state amp for a very reasonable price.
