Built for low frequences and high volume.

The Basson B412 guitar cab is designed for smooth tone at extreme volume. The enclosure is air sealed with silicone to maintain consistent air volume, creating an air spring to prevent the speaker from excess travel. The result is less speaker distortion when you play low and loud. This consistency combined with 300W of power handling makes for a cab low enough for the 7-string enthusiast, and clear enough for the clean tone soloist. Removable casters.

  • Incredibly smooth tone
  • Air sealed with silicon
  • All joints reinforced with a 1-1/4" brace
  • Tolex covered cabinet
  • Recessed metal 2 - 1/4" inputs

I am blown away every time I plug in. I can not help myself but to crank these cabs to their limits and the louder they get...the better they get. I have played Marshall, Crate, Line 6, Mesa, and Fender cabs in my lifetime and I always had a full stack to punch with. Nothing compares to the sounds I get out of my Basson cabs. Whether I am running a 12-string acoustic and getting perfectly warm tones through it live. Then I can crank up the crunch and pound my 7-strings through these...and they handle beautifully. If you are looking for a cab that is made for Metal...This is for you. If you are looking for clean/perfect tones...This cab is for you. If you are looking for the best quality (regardless of price)...these are for you. If you are looking for a perfect cab to record with...This is for you! If you just need a damn good cab that can play any style/any genre of music...BASSON is for you!

I bought one of these after seeing all the hype surrounding it. Well, now I've owned the cab for nearly 2 years, and while the cabinet is built well and is excellent quality, I can't STAND the Eminence Legends in it. They're harsh and thin for modern distortion, as they're made to replace vintage American speakers (see for yourself on the Eminence website). Don't take my word for it, as these reviews definitely can be misleading. Hear for yourself through your head or one of a similar type, because this may NOT be what you're looking for.

Heavy, heavy, heavy and not very durable

By ZeroFretSlide

from Inland Empire

Speakers installed are fine. The concept is that a heavy and dense (particle board/MDF) cabinet won't favor any frequencies and you'll bet a more powerful punch from the speakers. The cabinet is not tuned to the speakers properly, actually bigger than it needs to be by about 1.9 cu ft. The cabinet is not the most dense MDF and not really sturdy for casters. A furniture dolly is a required accessory. Hardware is on the cheap side, input jacks plastic components and really thin low-grade wire on the inside. The speakers are caulked-in... A pain if you get a bum speaker like I did. They're starting to go factory direct, don't know if they're going under or not.

Makes My El Diablo Roar!

By Olaf Achim

from Morgantown, WV

I was just recently endorsed by Basson, and I cannot be happier with my choice of a cab! I used to play with a Line 6 cab with Celestions, and this thing simply blows it away. The mids are super punchy and it cuts through the mix perfectly. My band plays in drop B tuning, and this thing can handle the lows at any volume! Super heavy, super tight, and super reliable....I LOVE BASSON!!!

Basson/5150 FTW!

Hey guys. just wanted to say if you were even slightly thinking about this cab go for it! The band im in just got endorsed by them. It was extreamly easy so i was sketchy about it because i figured the quaity wouldnt be there, but i was completely wrong!!! Ive used MESA oversized and reg cab Orange cabs also. These cabs can def hang with them no problem!!! I love how tight the cab is. We used 7 strings with drop tunings and these cabs bring the brutals without any mud at all. i couldnt say anything better aboout these cabs. All the people at basson are great to work with aswell very easy and our cabs arived fast and were in great shape. couldnt ask more.

Great Cabinet!!!

I can't say anything but good comments about these cabinets!! I have 2 4x12 cabinets. I using a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. I also use the THD hotplate. You can't imagine what a difference the cabinets make. If you are using a tube amp, you get such a warm tone to it.. I used other cabinets before, but these are just top notch. The quality and craftmenship is great. If you are in the market for cabinets, don't think twice.. Get the Basson Cabinets!! You wont be disappointed...

This Cab is a MUST!

By Ryo_Man

I am an active musician in a progressive/hardcore band called Cher Nobyl based in Pueblo, CO. I have to say that this cab is built like a TANK! With Eminence Legends air-sealed with silicon, you know this is going to pack a punch! I usually run a Peavey 6505+ through it, and the tones that are produced are incredible! If you are a serious musician that needs a loud, tour worthy piece of equiptment, i would reccomend the Basson B412. Hands down.

Like a beautiful tank at a hot rod show!

After hearing Basson's cabs in action when a touring band came through, I knew I wanted to give them a shot to provide my first cab. The more I researched Basson, the more sure I became. This is GREAT value and pricing for an incredible speaker cab. I play in a progressive hardcore band called Cher Nobyl and this is the perfect cab for the style of play myself and fellow guitarist use. We are chaotic and noisy, musically and in performance, and these cabs back it up with all the volume we need, and a massive amount of clarity and a huge impact. Nothing gets lost in the loudness, this cab accents and emphasizes every punch. Basson builds TANKS, this thing is about as invincible and air tight as you can get. Awesome for low tunings and heavy music of all kinds. This beast won't disappoint.

This is my first REAL cab...I have used nice ones before while recording (mesa, marshall, and orange) but have not owned one, and I have to say out of all of those the BASSON is by far the best and especially for dropped tunings which I use...on my previous cab my head was turned all the way to eleven and the clean channel would get all muddy cause of how hard it was driving the speakers...but not with my fact, I actually had to turn my head volume down to five...and the construction in also incredible...this thing is a tank, literally...its heavy and sturdy and the casters can roll over anything. If you play hardcore/metal or anything in dropped tuning save yourself a couple hundred bucks and gain a new respect for BASSON, theyre the best!

Clarity,power,and performance!

By MemoriesWitherFrankyJ

I've had this 300watt cab for a year now and its won me over. I ve been playing for 16yrs and have played a Marshall 1960 the whole time. The Marshall is muddy and fuzzy sounding compared to the Basson. Basson's have a clear and higher midrange tone that translates beautifully for lead guitar. Single notes are dominating and chords are crushing with tight lowend. With any new cab, give it some time to break the speakers in and you will be rewarded with clear, blazing tone!

Awesome cab!

By UTG_rocks

from Bellingham, WA

I bought this cab a year ago after reading reviews on it. I'm glad I bought it! It sounds great, its road sturdy and its way cheaper than a mesa boogie, and sounds better than Marshalls in my opinion. I use a peavy jsx head through it and it sounds awesome. I used it while recording my band's album and the tone came out great. The only negative thing I would say is that the sound doesn't project laterally as much as most other cabs. If you are micing this cab it doesn't matter, but in our practice space the other band members have a hard time hearing me over the other guitarists cab.

wow this cab is amazing

I have worked with this cab in the studio and live shows at big venues. It always fills the room beautifully. amazing sound even with heavy distortion. Will buy another soon for a fullstack.
