OVERVIEW

Perfect tremolo sound.

Think an old Fender Blackface amp with a tremolo circuit like a Twin or Super Reverb. Now imagine that warm, pulsating effect of the sine-wave oscillator working its magic as perfected by Leo Fender. Pretty awesome, right? Reality check: your amp doesn’t have a classic Leo tremolo circuit, or it just doesn’t work well anymore. Fact is, a lot of those old tremolo circuits get pretty dodgy over time, often ending up delivering a jarring on/off square-wave effect or a weird popcorn-popping sound.

Enter Tremor. Created by Paul Gagon, former R&D Engineer at Fender and certified amp geek with soft spot for Leo-era classics, Tremor faithfully recreates the experience Leo’s finest amp tremolo. Better yet, Tremor features dual foot-switchable speed controls. Just think: having two speeds locked and loaded means you can cover Crimson And Clover then follow that up with For What It’s Worth. Okay, so maybe you’ve got a couple other songs in mind, but the cool thing is you can do it without reaching down to tweak a pedal or messing with your amp. You know, that old Twin with the tremolo that also makes popcorn. What’s more, its bulletproof reliability means it can take the abuse of the road without breaking a sweat, unlike that vintage Blackface you’ve been babying all tour long.

BBE fans will note that Tremor’s back with a new look that really nails the experience. Amp spotters will peg the flavor right away, with Tremor’s white graphics on a matte black finish, complemented by crème amp knobs. Tremor is just dripping with that transitional 1963 mojo, and once you plug into it, you’ll find tremolo that would surely impress Leo himself.

I've been wanting a decent Trem pedal for a while, so when I saw this as the SDOTD a few weeks ago I jumped on it. Nice feature in the 2 speed settings. Does what it's supposed to. Sounds pretty good.
As mentioned above has stinky rubber smell, but I can live with it. It should fade w/ time.
        I'm pleased over all w/ $$,sound quality & operation

Comments about BBE Tremor Analog Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

Every BBE stomp box I have is far better than average, and an excellent value. They often add secret sauce, and here it is the choice of two tremolo settings and a light that blinks at the tremolo's tempo (which mostly compensates for the lack of a tap tempo capability).

This is probably my fifth BBE stomp box, I have gigged quite a bit with them, and none of them have ever faltered.

A second Depth knob, a wave (sine>sawtooth) adjustment, and a tap-tempo setting would make this perfect. Still, I've tried 4-5 trem pedals and this is the one on my board now.

Comments about BBE Tremor Analog Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is one fantastic tremolo! With the Depth control it can go from a subtle throb to "One Of These Days" choppiness, and having the ability to instantly switch from one speed to another and set both of those speeds is an incredibly useful feature. I own black face and silver face Fender amps and a '68 Ampeg Reverbojet and this pedal is as good or better than the tremolo in my amps. Most of all, it's very MUSICAL and USEFUL, not some kind of cheesy effect but a beautiful, rich pulse. It's now on my pedalboard.

Comments about BBE Tremor Analog Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have a Fender Twin Reverb already and a Boss Tremelo pedal, but thought I would give this pedal a try since it was a Stupid Deal. I figured since I wasn't truely happy with the Boss pedal, I would try the Tremor, comparing it to the Twin's built in tremelo. I mainly thought I could use the Tremor on my second and third rig, an Egnater Rebel 30 and Egnater Renegade combo.

Out of the box, you can feel the pedal is well built, solid and heavy. It came with an included 9v battery, and like others have said, a very strong rubber smell...no big deal.

The Tremor sounds better than the Twin's tremelo! The dual speed adjustment is a great feature and you have great control using the depth control. I have my tremor set to two speeds that are just a bit different, but the range of the speed can go from off to crazy fast.

For the price I paid, this pedal is a fantastic deal! But after listening to it, I wish I would have found it before I purchased the Boss pedal.

                  Highly recommended tremelo pedal!!!

Comments about BBE Tremor Analog Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I got a screaming deal on this pedal (SDOTD) but, having had it now for a few weeks, I would pay full price and then some for this one. I love the authentic-sounding tremelo it provides, ease of use, two independent tremelo speeds ready to go, and attractive retro styling. But most of all, I love how it does not dimish or color my tone at all, which is crucial for me as I'm very picky about my tone. I have a 1966 Fender Vibro Champ (Blackface) with killer-sounding trem/vibrato of its own; however, I even use this pedal with that amp as it's nice to be able to switch between two trem presets via the pedal. Sounds awesome through all of my amps and with all of my guitars, whether single coil and humbucker. Get this pedal and you'll be done with your search for a great, vintage-sounding trem pedal that maintains the purity of your tone.

Flat out great tremolo. I have always thought the trem on my 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb was the best I've ever heard. This pedal sounds exactly the same. The rate and depth knobs have way more range than a Fender amp so it can cover a lot of songs. I got rid of my Boss TR-2 and my Danelectro pedal (the name escapes me) after hearing this pedal.

I use this pedal in our praise band at the church I go to, and it has proven to be one of THE best additions to my gear that I have purchased so far!

I would ALSO like to add, if YOU aren't closely watching for the "Stupid Deals of the Day," you should, because they are outrageously crazy! I have purchased 3-4 effects pedals through this, and I will continue to do so! THANKS, Musician's Friend, for the great deals! -Archie

Comments about BBE Tremor Analog Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I was reluctant to buy this pedal because I use a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp which already has the tremolo effect (Fender calls it vibrato). But I sometimes use other amps without built-in tremolo, and I got a smoking deal on this BBE pedal on sale. It's not an effect that I use often, but it does add a cool sound to certain songs. My pedal is the new version, black with white lettering and creme knobs. BBE recently revamped their pedal line, doing away with the cartoon graphics, which I never really cared for anyway. But they also did away with the power adapter, including instead a 9 volt battery. Gone, too, are the printed numbers 1-10 for each knob. And the worst change is the rubber pad on the bottom of the unit. It has a powerfully sickening smell that hits you the moment you open the box, and hasn't gone away yet. It is the familiar "Chinese rubber" stench that is so common on products these days. Now, on to the pedal function. I tried it through my Fender Deluxe Reverb (with built-in tremolo), plugged into the same channel as the Fender tremolo. The BBE pedal duplicates the Fender tremolo sound so much that it is hard to believe it. Actually, the BBE sounds slightly brighter and more sparkly to my ear. The difference is slight, but I think that I prefer the pedal sound to the "real deal". I never thought that I would say that, because I have never been a big pedal advocate, and I love Fender tube amps! The BBE Tremor has two tremolo speeds, so you can set them up with one faster than the other and switch back and forth at will. An LED is displayed at all times, indicating which speed (speed 1 or 2) is selected. The LED remains on even when the true-bypass switch is off. Some might find this annoying when not in use on your pedal board. And although two speeds are nice to have, one would be enough for me (it would also eliminate the LED). I have found this pedal to be quiet, and it is quite rugged, as are all BBE pedals. It draws 200mA. I really like this pedal. If you are looking for the real Fender sound, this is it! Now if I can only get past the smell...
