It's a Behringer. It goes for 550 new. For the price and the basic setup they give you, this is something that can't be beat. I bought mine off of craigslist locally for 300 even. My deal came with the 300 watt head unlike this package which gives you the extra 150 watts. The thing about the deal is that you have to keep in mind that you're buying a cab that can handle 1000 watts of amperage. So at any time you want more modeling you can switch out the head later on in the game. The head has tons of buttons and knobs to get the exact tone you want, I play indie/progressive/experiemental and go for a punchy sounding clean bass, and this is everything I could have wanted. Perfect for playing out, and when you bring it home, the monster makes the house shake. It's heavy, 100 something pounds, I'm a big guy and can handle moving it, it was has small casters on the side, but they're not good for much.

I bought this amp over a year ago. The first show I played, one of the cones came disconnected from the speaker due to poor quality glue. After that was fixed I haven't had a problem with the amp. The amp definatly gets loud enough for shows, as far as recording, I recommend something with better tone.

So far so good

By tremorbassplayer

from Indiana

I bought this bass head and cabinet as my first seperate amp head and cabinet and so far I have had no regrets. I play a passive 4 string fernandes and it reproduces sound amazingly well. I tend to use that bass for more slap and pop style playing and I also have a 5 string active peavey that I use for a more driven rock time. and it reproduces the low B as well as any amp I've played. The only issue that I've had is the "Ultrabass" switch tends to muddy the sound to the point where it no longer cuts through accurately. All in all though this isn't ampeg and isn't going to sound as such but for a introductory level product for under 550 dollars you can't ask for anything more.

Awesome half stack

By TheSamuraiNinja

My bassist for my old band had this amp and it was so amazing. After he left for college I bought it from him and even though it hasn't been played for about a year now it sounds just as good as when he first got it. I would recomend this amp for anyone who wants big sound and save money.

This Stack Rocks!

By Mike-nu8TT

from Fayettville , NC

I'm very picky when it comes to buying amps but this one caught my eye! It has a decently low price for a bass stack and it has a lot of features. I hooked it up last night and it blew me away.. my neighbors 200 yards away had to tell me to turn it down. My house was shaking! So if your looking for a Bass Stack, don't be intimidated by the brand. Behringer is a very good company. They have never let me down. I own a Behringer 120Watt V-Tone combo guitar amp and a 400watt Behringer PA and now a 450/1200Watt Bass Half Stack..

Awesome half stack for a good price

By ocbassist

from Ankeny, IA

I bought this half stack about 5 months ago or so and I half to say that I love it. I play in a ska band so I like to be able to get that bright punchy tone that really stands out and with this half stack thats not a problem. The head allows you to get pretty much any tone you want so no matter what style of music you play this behringer stack can pump it out. I definatly recommend it to any bassist out there looking for power and versatility.

LOVE THIS THING

By KidVidbassBomb

from New York

I got this amp as a birthday present, and played almost three days straight. The thing is a beast, and the sound quality is excellent. It fits into your budget, and won't let you down on quality. So, if you're a bass player looking for some power and want to save money, this is it. LOOK NO FURTHER.
