The 7 modes are comparable to state-of-the-art studio processors.

The Behringer Digital Delay DD400 effects pedal has an obsession with the past—the last 1.3 seconds of it, to be exact. The Behringer Digital Delay will sing the fading, ghostly praises of every note you squeeze from your guitar. With seven modes of delay to choose from, there is a vast palette of echoes to explore with the DD400. Take advantage of its full 1.3-second memory or scale it back for a more abrupt echo. Just twist the dedicated Mode, Time, Feedback and Level controls to create the delay of your dreams. There is also a HOLD mode that allows you to loop a brief riff, then play over it. The blue LED tells you when it’s on, and the first-class on/off switch maintains incredible signal integrity in bypass mode. You can power the DD400 with a 9 V battery or a DC power adapter.

Comments about Behringer DD400 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I actually own the more expensive pedal that this Behringer DD400 Delay pedal is modeled after. It cost me 3 times as much as this one did. But believe it or not it actually has a nice Mode feature when using it in HOLD mode. And this is a SUPER PLUS as far as when performing or just for practicing. You just can't go wrong with any of these Behringer pedals for what they can do and for what they only cost. Don't be fooled by thinking you have to pay more to get the exact same pedal with the exact same sounds and the some.

Comments about Behringer DD400 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought this as a first delay pedal based on good reviews off of multiple YouTube videos but was disappointed. The DD400 has very good sound quality and adjustable settings but is in my opinion too delicate. I bought one from Amazon and when i got it did not even turn on, so i got a replacement. The replacement worked but killed my battery in a few hours from just standby, so i replaced the battery. I tried to use the 9V plug, but it did not do anything. So after using a battery for about an hour, the pedal began to jam and send a repeating scratch sound to my amp and continued to do so. So in my opinion it is a good sound but you get the cheap construction.

Comments about Behringer DD400 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Behringer makes some quality products, and this pedal is one of them. It does not color your sound, and the switching is quiet. The plastic case seems just as sturdy as another discount brand's cases, and I've stomped them pretty hard! It has a strange hold feature that allows you to create some very unique sounds. It is very similar to the BOSS digital delay both functionally and sound-wise.

Comments about Behringer DD400 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Great value for the price. Easy to dial in sounds. I only have two complaints-this pedal seems to eat batteries and the battery compartment is very poorly designed. You have to push the springloaded hinge pins in on both sides to access the battery. Not easy to do in a poorly lit situation.
Other than those two items this pedal has exceeded my expectations.

Comments about Behringer DD400 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I wanted a second digital delay to follow my Boss DD3, to handle the cascading "U2" repeats while the Boss handled solo settings. I read that this is a "clone" of the Boss, and decided to buy it after some video-watching etc.

I was not disappointed! This pedal has a great selection of delay times, and easily replicates the sounds I want. There is a very slight colouration of your tone, but I found it smooths out harsh distortion effects (like the Boss DS-1, for example) and actually helps a lead tone somewhat. The knobs are a little more delicate than Boss or similar companies and the chassis is plastic, but realistically this thing is built fairly tough; if you stomp the hell out of your pedals you should probably look for something tougher but for most people this is a cost-effective, great-sounding pedal.
