        Ultimate filter modeling effects pedal.

Your guitar is designed to deliver a tasty range of tones, from rich lows to warm mids to chiming highs. But when you start pulling certain frequencies out of the equation with the help of the FM600 Filter Machine, cool and unusual things start happening.

        Superior Sound
From funky wah-like sounds to off-the-wall, vocal-like squall, the FM600 can take your sound to some truly alien territory. This pedal is equipped with BEHRINGER’s Real Sound Modeling technology to make your guitar sound like it is in an acoustically perfect environment of its own design. It must be heard to be believed!

        It’s Easy!
Choose from a Band Pass, Low Pass or Twin Pass, then flip the POL switch to determine whether the filter applies to high or low frequencies. Fine-tune this funky sound with the dedicated Sensitivity, Range and Peak dials. The blue LED tells you when it’s activated, and the tough on/off switch maintains excellent signal integrity in bypass mode. You can power the FM600 with a 9 V battery or a DC power supply (not included).

        Features

        • Funky auto-wah, twin, band-pass to swirling low-pass filter effects
        • Real Sound Modeling (RSM) emulates real acoustic environments
        • Unique moving filters will take your sound further
        • Dedicated Peak, Range, Sensitivity, Filter and Polarity controls

Comments about Behringer FM600 FILTER MACHINE FILTER MODELING PEDAL:

This is a good filter pedal for your budget board.

I use an MXR Bass Envelope Filter on my main guitar board and wanted something like it to use on my backup jam-in-the-mountains board. This pedal, while not beatiful and musical like the mxr is, seems to fill the gap ok.

I use mine in the effects loop of an EH Killswitch, you can get some neat funkiness going for sure. And the Killswitch allows me to have it out of the direct signal path.

If this isn't dialed in correctly, your volume and/or tone will suffer. As with any multi-knob pedal, you should spend time messing with it.

Spend a bit of time at first using only this pedal. Each knob setting reacts with the others, so it really helps to play with all of the knobs and switches to find sounds that appeal to you. Then put it in place on your board and see how all of your other pedals sound with this, on and off. It's a good idea to jot down some of the settings you find work for you.

Some guitar filter pedals work pretty decent when used with a bass... this is not one of them. I couldn't for the life of me get it dialed in and sounding ok without losing significant volume.

One last note, this is a plastic pedal, so it won't survive a nuclear blast.

Overall, this is a very good bang-for-the-buck envelope filter pedal, especially if you spend time getting to know it.
