OVERVIEW

So you love the bite, twang and snap of single-coil pickups, but can't stand the nasty hum that comes along for the ride.

The NR300 actually functions as two pedals in one. In Reduction mode, you can adjust the dedicated Threshold and Decay dials to keep all your tone and dynamics intact, but effectively eliminate hum from the picture. In Mute mode, the NR300 becomes a super-quiet on/off switch for your instrument.

Operation couldn’t be easier. The NR300 features two LEDs—one to indicate when it's activated, another to indicate when it's suppressing noise. You can power this hum killer with a 9V battery or our PSU-SB DC power supply (not included). And the top-quality on/off switch maintains absolutely noise-free operation.

Lose the hum, but hold onto your precious single-coil tone with the ultra-affordable NR300.

Plug in and kiss unwanted noise goodbye for good!

FEATURES
  • Effectively eliminate unwanted noise and hum without altering your tone
  • Designed to compete head to head with leading products on the market
  • Preserves the original attack and envelope while leaving your playing and dynamics intact
  • Dedicated Threshold and Decay controls plus a Mute mode for awesome flexibility
  • Additional Send/Return loop for noise suppression of external effect units
  • Status LED for effect on/off and battery check

this works just as good as a boss ns1 at 3/4's the price! cancels out the hum from my boss ds1 and my mxr full bore metal without effecting tone. i love it. i was looking to get a boss ns1 until i stummbled on this in my music store. got it home, cranked my pedals to 10 and absolutley nothing. silence! i paired mine with a nady he1 and its great. even with my mxr dyna comp and full bore metall all the way up, i get peace and quiet.

I got one of these because I'm on a tight budget right now and it works like I expected. I ordered a metal pedal and knew I was going to need a noise gate. I have since found a better choice....Joyo's pedals are true bypass. You should check them out before buying.

I use this pedal while performing worship gigs at my church; it helps to keep the total noise down so that a signal is usable by the sound guys.

Comments about Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer Noise Reduction Effects Pedal:

Excellent price for a pretty decent noise gate. You've gotta play with the nobs a little but you'll definitely hear a reduction in noise.

I've used it after pedals to take some of the undesirable sounds that 25+ year old pedals can have (I'm looking at you, '87 DOD Flanger).

I've used it to take out some of the hum of lower quality single coils ('01 Squire Strat, that means you).
I've used it to quiet down high output pickups played through hot, loud amps (Jackson RR, you beautiful beast).

There's usable settings for each of these. It's not perfect but it's definitely worth the money and its pretty useful if you've got older, road worn or lower quality gear with undesirable noise.

Comments about Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer Noise Reduction Effects Pedal:

I've got one of this for my second pedalboard. I already use an MXR SmartGate. I compared both pedals side by side and this low cost, affordable one works just as good. Plastic so it won't take a beating, but if you don't bang your pedals around, it will work just fine.

I have used a pedal board for my guitar for years but have never been quite satisfied with the clarity of sound. I hooked up this "puppy" after it arrived and never looked back. It is well made and does exactly as it claims: quiets the noise while maintaining you original sound. I am very satisfied!

I've been buying Berhinger products for years, this is my first complaint. I use this noise suppressor to quite the hum while using an Ibanez Tube Screamer, usually with a tube amp. I have to keep messing with it but it is not doing the job. I've even noticed when I shut off the Tubescreamer the Berhinger has a hum of its own. As I said, I'll keep messing with the controls and see if I can get a better result??

Comments about Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer Noise Reduction Effects Pedal:

The NR300 worked well for 3 months. It was used on 8 gigs, several rehearsals, and during jams and solo practice sessions. In the end it started "crackling" which is often indicative of a component going bad. The result is that it started to induce more noise than it removed. Also, it was one of 10 effects so it took some effort to identify it as the source of the noise. At this point I get to see how well their customer service performs.

Comments about Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer Noise Reduction Effects Pedal:

Answered an ad in the local CL to play bass once a month at a local church. I showed up with my Samick bass and plugged into a DI box to go right in the PA and overwhelmed the sound guy with hiss. I don't want to haul my bass amp and I don't have the money to buy a new Bass (besides I like playing the Samick), esp for a volunteer gig, so I searched and found this pedal. I have had good luck with Behringer stuff so I ordered it and gave it a try. It worked wonders! My bass signal came through nice and clear. It works well for me!
