I bought this thing at least 2 years ago, and it's still going strong. Honestly, there are more positives than the 2 negatives I have about it. The first negative is the weight. Now I'm not exactly a big guy, but when we gig we draw straws to see who has to carry it. But the plus side is it wont move on stage, even if you crank it up past 6 (which is damn loud for this thing). The other negative is sometimes it gets fuzzy on the distortion channel, but it gets covered up with the rest of the band.
This is seriously my favorite amp I've played with for the cost. It's seen at least 50 gigs, and has been coveted by other bands who lacked proper bass amplification. The wattage for the price is amazing, and I can overpower drums and guitar, both on full power, easily with the amp only at 5 and my bass on 2.5. The footpedal is nice, which I actually use as a volume pedal by putting one channel a bit higher than the other to get some extra volume for bass sections. Overall, I'd highly recommend this to anyone. I'll be gigging with this until it falls apart.

I bought this amp about one year into learning bass and have gigged recorded and gone to the moon with it. In that time (about 5 years) I have heard many other bass amps and realized that I got what I paid for with this amp. Yes it is fance but the sound it provides is medoicre. I sounded better when I added a powered pedal to it but whatever. In the first year my speaker blew out and the company replced it but now it seems that they have cut off all support to their customers and apprently the amp cannot be fixed locally because everything is proprietary. Beyond my petty squabbles the amp did the job but if your a serious musician and not just a beginner then stray from this amp.

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:
I bought this amp because the 15 in speaker and supposed 300W sold me. I have used it for several gigs and it sounds great, but it is just too heavy to lug around. I added wheels to it and that helped some, but it is still too unwieldy. I am using it now just for rehearsals or recording. I would recommend it to anyone who is fairly strong or who has someone to help carry it, or for rehearsal studio.

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:
I bought this one online without having heard it before, mainly because it was cheap, and I've used a Behringer amp before and wasd blown away by its sound. I recieved this amp this morning and I instantly fell in love. The amp far exceeded my expectations. It has a great range of tones. Even on very low volume this thing kicks. And the ultrabass function is pretty cool to play with. I strongly recommend anyone looking for an incredible amp for a ridiculously low price, buy this amp!

when I first bought this amp, yeah, I noticed the weight. the rumors and such are true. This thing is heavier than any other piece of equipment in my band. however, I like to consider myself as an experimental bass player. To be honest, no bass needs that much in regard to effects. But I absolutely love the way I can get a heavy distortion sound(which I use frequently) on this amp. the foot switch is very helpful. Overall, this amp is very good. I would recommend it to anyone except expecting mothers, because the weight is a lot to handle. but once you set it down and start to play, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:
I have used the amp with the aluminum speaker quite a few times. The ultra bass sounds muddy, the compression isn't that great, but overall for the price it is a decent amp, if you take the time to experiment a little you can get a decent sound. If you can afford better, get it, but in that price range you aren't going to find much better.
Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:
This amp is just like a quarter pounder off the dollar menu. Cheap but not terribly satisfying. The only thing I would add to the other reviews here is that this thing is HEAVY and awkward to carry around. I've had this thing for almost 5 years now and it's gotten the job done but it does leave a lot to be desired. The gain channel is almost worthless and the ultrabass channel is a cool idea but I almost never use it.
Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:
This model is a nice Amp for a beginning bassist who requires more power than the out of the box practice amp that kits come with. The Amp itself isn't the greatest thing but for a budget product its got some nice attributes. Only problem I had with it is it tends to break down quickly if used a lot, only 2 years since its a budget model and is made from cheap parts
Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:
First, I do believe the people who say this amp is overspecced. It is probably 150W RMS. Misleading, but something Behringer does. I also believe the people who say that high volume performance is weak. Behringer, if not maligned for everything, certainly doesn't make the best speakers. Plus, this one is only rated at 200W. Also the 'Ultrabass' setting would seem to be highly unecessary. The good news is that this is a good amp. I don't know what Wattage I am utilizing, but I have to barely touch the knob to get a big fat bass sound that pisses off my neighbors. That's good because I need loud but not bury-the-drummer loud. Equalization and compression are mediocre. Boost channel will not produce a good gainworthy sound. But, you get what you pay for and then some because it is cheap. I will probably replace the speaker in this and use it as an extension cab/combo hybrid like I did with my Crate guitar amp.
Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:
the good its a durable little amp i take it to shows all the time local bars and it takes one heck of a beating constantly getting kicked over and stuff tossed and it can weather the elements it dont mind getting a little hot i run it nearly cranked at shows and its held strong for nearly a year.the bad cd inputs in the back quit working and when cranked up it does get a little muddy but u can eq it down to help a little bit
