If you are looking for a good practice amp or something to use in small intimate venues then this is a good amp. I bought this amp to use for church, but after a year and a half I have to admit it is too small for my needs. My church will hold 300-400 people and I have this amp cranked so I can be heard. I still wish I had more volume, so consequently I am looking for a new amp. Now don't get me wrong, I plan on keeping this amp and using it at home for practice so I don't have to lug my new larger HEAVIER amp back and forth.
Nice simple controls that are easy to use.
Just your average quality for sound equipment, not horrible but not great either.
A good value for what you get.

Had mine a year. It's fine for practice at home alone. When rehersing, I have to give it more treble than I like just so I can hear me. I use another heaver/larger amp for performances but don't take the fork lift to rehersals. The shape control actually gives a nice growl and a boost in volumn without distortion. When vol is on 8 the cabinet has a tiny buzz, but not the speaker, so not to worry. Biggest pain is the shape; this rolls around in the trunk. You have to put it on a pad or small blanket face down. Otherwise everytime you accelerate or brake you hear it rolling around.

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL450 45W 1x10" Bass Combo:
Before you purchase this amp, ask yourself what are you going to use it for. If it is for recording only, or just playing in the house, then it is a great deal. The sound quality is pretty good, and it gives you the means to change your sound from deep bass to more of a higher sound. For the price, you can't beat it if your using it to perform in a small way. However, if your wanting to play any type of venue such as Church, Club, Party, Guitar amps rated 100 watts, then don't buy this amp. This is not a loud blasting bass that will rock the world, but it does well if your playing is only for recording, and small things of that nature. My suggestion for those of you who want a gigging amp at a decent price, and quality made. An amp that has stood the test of time for more than 40 years. PURCHASE THE AMPEG BA15. The BA15 is the best sounding amp on the market, if you need more power, move up to a bigger Ampeg. If you don't need a real loud bass sound, then then the BXL450 is a great purchase.

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL450 45W 1x10" Bass Combo:
i got this amp some time ago (about a year ago) and now i know i really should not have got this amp now its not the right thing for me. it does not sound good at all (but could be good for you. but i really do not like it) it really does not sound like a 45w amp and if you play a 5 string bass or a 4 string in drop C just forget this amp with only having a 1x10. so to sum it up if you just started playing it could be good for you but if you have the $ i would got something else. (try it before you buy it)
Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL450 45W 1x10" Bass Combo:
epic for your first amp. but bad on stage amp.
Its good for practice and worm ups but when you hit the stage and crank it up. it cracles and evently fails.
I personly think that it a good quality but its my first amp.
for the price it is ok but like ii said hitting the stage and trying to play it loud can kill it passed the 12 o'clock possition.
Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL450 45W 1x10" Bass Combo:
I highly recommend this amp. Once again, I greatly enjoy the eq, but the distortion could sound a bit better. Even that can be shaped with a knob, though, which helps. Remember, a good distortion pedal can cost as much as this amp. If you are starting out, look twice at this amp.
For a bass amp this cheap, all of the features came as an excellent suprise. My favorite is the five band eq, which, if you learn how to use, can really make you sound great. I can achieve all the souds I want, and produce original ones too. I sometimes use the gain channel, mainly with my jazz bass, and the gain doesn't sound bad. However, if I was seriously thinking about using it, I might get a better sounding distrotion pedal or similar.
I have had this amp for over a year. It has been cranked to 3/4 to max volume countless times throughout its life, and is still in perfect condition. Don't run away if it says Behringer, because this is an excellent amp.
If getting a gain channel, a 5-band eq, and 45 watts from this price isn't a deal, I don't know what is. Simply put, if you have the money and are starting out, this is worth it.
Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL450 45W 1x10" Bass Combo:
I am a beginner at bass and was looking around for a decent starting amp with a friend when he recommended this one. BEST BUY EVER! 2 channels allow me to have different settings (all you really need is two), the equilizer is a nice addition that adds to the value and sound if you can use it properly, the CD Ins are useful for when you want to jam out to music which is waaaay better if you have headphones to practice in silence and of course a master volume control brings it altogether. Only complaint is the lack of an output, but its definitely an awesome practice amp with a punch!

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL450 45W 1x10" Bass Combo:
I've had this for 3 years. A few weeks ago I got my first Warwick bass. Put the battery in the Warwick, plugged it in, and plucked the E string. I almost killed the Behringer. Didn't kill it but learned a lesson. This little amp is fine for a passive bass, but don't expect it to survive a good active one.
