I hope that people don't listen to the trash talkers who think it's cute going around and bashing Behringer because they're some sort of equipment snobs. A good bass player knows how to use an amplifier to get the best sound it's capable of, and make it work for the gig. With a little bit of study and being careful not to use this on '11' this amp will last you many years until you can move up to a larger rig. It's a super value, and Behringer has always been dependable equipment for me.
Standard style features plus an eq and Ultrabass. Eq and graphics easy to use. Didn't much care for the ultrabass.
I read recently on one of the bass player forums that some guys were going around and writing bogus reviews slamming Behringer because they can't stand the brand. I
ve used Behringer producst since 2001, the first Behringer P.A. I bought I sold to a local club and it's still being used four times a week, after 11 years. My second p.a. still runs loud, dependable, and perfect.
I've had this amp for 3 years and ti's been rock solid and dependable. It has a built in compressor so when idiots turn the amp to all 10's it will prevent clipping from being pushed too hard. There have been nights where I did use this amp to about 90 percent and it performed flawlessly.
Behringer is a German company that specilizes in making great affordable equipment. This amp has never let me down and is light, small, and loud for its wattage. There isn't another amp for the money in its value range.

Great features: Fully addjustable EQ, The ultrabass feature adds a nice touch. Solid lows, and clear crisp, highs. The amp is light and easy to transport....
I receivecd this amp back in Febuary, 2011. It played great for about 8 months. Great highs, deep solid lows. Very light, and easy to transport. The case is a good quilaty compsite plastic. The EQ adjustment is a great feature. Than 8 months later, in the midle of a gig, it started smoking, ( and I mean big time! ) It was totally burned up:( Sadly I had to send it back. If you plan-on purchasing the Ultrabass BXR1800H, I suggest you get an extended warrantey along with your purchase. ( You might need it.. )

I bought this head about a year and a half ago i play in a band we practice about 3 times a week it worked great but this new years we got to play a party and guess what it smoked and started smelling really bad and that ruined that party other then that i loved it and i will miss it :(

I bought this amp knowing that it is cheapest and weakest head on the market. I daisy chained two speaker cabinets to it and I have to say - it is increadibly powerful. Everything works and does what it's supposed to do without getting hot at all.The fan though, is a little loud - but who cares. Once you play - you won't hear it anyways.

Had it for only a few months, didn't even get a chance to use it much. I plugged in an output jack and it started smoking and fried. The only good thing is Behringer backs it for a year and will send me a replacement. I'll let you know how long that one lasts.

Alrite wen i got this i loved seeing it was the first big amp i ever got but after about a month of having it and playing shows with it it statred smoking on stage during one of my gigs so idk wat went wrong but if your on a bug=dget and this is all you can afford get a warrenty on it

This amp impressed me, I first played one on the marine bass in Jacksonville, NC. The clean channel is warm, the distortion channel is crisp at low gain and immense at high gain. The octave divider actually sounds great, but the compressor is somewhat mild sounding... All in all, this amp is punchy, loud, and earth rattling! I'd recommend this bass amp for anyone on a budget!

I purchased this model as a back up head to my galien 700rb. It is great for small to medium size club gigs. It's housing is all plastic which makes it light. The front of the head sticks out about 2-inches when you rack mount it, so be aware of that...for the money you can't go wrong.
