I have owned one of the K900FX amps for several years now and have had no problems with it so far. People tend to buy these amps to use a portable PAs because of the XlR Connection. These are Keyboard amps and do not have the same preamp structure of an guitar amp.Unless you have some kind of preamp for the guitar, it will not be loud enough. Also,I have used this with my band and it seems to have a good amount of volume to it. I would think that this would be loud enough for most small to medium venues. A trick I use is to elevate the amp to close to ear level so you can hear yourself and use the output to run to your PA. This amp has 3 inputs one of which has the XLR connection. 5 band EQ and a Decent FX section. It has a sub out for connecting a bass amp to extend your bottom as well as other features that many other keyboard amps do not. overall, it's like I've heard from a lot of users of behringer products," If it doesn't blow up right out of the box, you may have a good one." I've have both experiences with Behringer. I believe their quality control is not as good as say fender, peavey or others. They want to replace a bad unit rather than repairing. But all in all, I've been very satisfied. Behringer dealers will replace their products for a period of one year. Being that is the case, You may want to add the extra warranty to the purchase price. These amps really do sound good and they are worth the risks one takes when purchasing. A REMINDER to those who trash this amp because it's not loud enough when a guitar is played through it, It wasn't meant for guitar, it was meant for Keyboards. You want guitar, go buy yourself an acoustic guitar amp. They have the XLR input and the preamp section is built for guitar.

Some reviews are quite positive for the Behringer Ultratone k900fx. I have had two of them in less than six months, and have had problems with both. The headphone jack and the line out worked just fine, but the internal speaker would drop in volume or cut out completely. This happened on both of the amps that I had. Luckily I purchased the protection plan from Guitar Center and was able to get something else with the money. But others have had good luck with them, so maybe I just got two bad ones out of the bunch. If the speakers hold up, it is a great amp for someone on a budget.

Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K900FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:

A great amp in every way except that it is not big on volume. It does get loud enough for home practice or maybe miking a guitar in a coffee house or for amplifying speech like in a school function. But for a band practicing or performing it won't be good. I wish I had gotten the next model or two up from this one. But for little jobs its ok.

          It's good
Before buying this amp I had read a review on here stating that you shouldn't play an acoustic guitar through a keyboard amp because it will be too quiet. I would like to set the record straight: it works great for my acoustic guitar!

I ran a mic and my guitar at the same time. I was very pleased. My understanding is that each channel is 30 watts, so no, it's not going to sound like 90 watts when you're plugged in to one channel. but it's still a very good volume. Keyboard amps can handle a lot of different instruments, INCLUDING acoustic guitar.
I bought mine used, so I don't know if it's an issue of quality or abuse. Either way, the effects don't work right. There's a lot of crackling and popping constantly when they are on. So I turn the effects all the way down. Everything else works great, and it was only $125 used, so I really can't complain.
It works great. It's relatively light (40 lbs). 3 inputs. Does everything I need it to...

I was totally amazed this amp kicks.I never would have expected the vocal to be so clean & crisp.
eq & effects oh yes. I have owned some top name top price keyboard amps. The vocals were well lets say I would have never bought another one for vocals. I bought this for keyboard only, I play a S90XS Yamaha, its great through this amp. I bought it for practice amp, What a suprise You could do small gigs with this and be proud. 30 yrs. Experience.

          Violin Amp

Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K900FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:

Bought for my daughter to use onstage when she performs alone and with her band. The amp really fills out her sound. She played the Yost Theater a few nights back and it was the best her violin has ever sounded. The reverb and delay were what we were after and it works perfect. Having three inputs is a nice feature, plus the output to the main board, So far we love this amp!

I bought this amp for my son and myself to perform at outdoor charity events with keyboard, vocals, and prerecorded backing music. The volume and overall sound was very good (especially for the price). Effects are OK. I feed it with a Behringer Xenyx mixer and so far nothing has given out in almost 1 year of use.

I bought this because I did not have enough money or room for a big PA system. It is really great. I do bass and vocals for a simple 3 piece Punk Band and this gets the job done just fine. It gets pretty loud and the effects are cool. The EQ works great also. It was worth every penny.

I bought this amp for my keyboard with hopes that it would help amplify the keys during our band's practice. No such luck! Very disappointed with this product. Don't buy it unless you have very low volume needs. I sent it back earlier today.
