The next step in virtual amplification.

By adding a host of new features and capabilities to the Behringer V-AMP 2 Guitar Effects Processor, Behringer has upgraded their already-legendary modeler. You now get 32 amp models as well as the original 15 speaker simulations which can be selected independently of the amp models. A 24-bit, studio-quality stereo effects unit offers an array of useful algorithms including chorus, tremolo, compression, noise gate, delay, and much more. A separate, manually or MIDI-controllable wah and 9 stereo reverbs are available in combination with any other effect, amp, or speaker setting. 2 effects parameters are directly accessible. This cool unit retains the original V-Amp's chromatic tuner and a tap tempo function for realtime adjustment of effect speed. You also get an adjustable stereo aux input, stereo line output with speaker simulation, 3-band EQ, master volume, and adjustable headphone output. The MIDI interface enables realtime remote control, automation, data transfer, and access to additional parameters. The 125 onboard presets are organized into 25 banks and include 50 presets by renowned guitarists. On top of all that, the V-Amp 2 offers 5 practical configuration modes plus a presence control that simulates negative-feedback tube amps. The new preamp bypass lets you use it as a stereo effects unit. Dramatically improved gate and noise-reduction circuits produce an impressive 90dB S/N ratio. The V-Amp 2 is simple to operate with dedicated controls for all essential settings. Behringer offers additional presets and downloadable V-Amp editor software on its website. Behringer includes dual footswitch, AC adapter, and carrying bag with the V-Amp 2.

OK, I've been playing guitar for close to thirty years, as a hobby and in a few jam bands with friends. I've always had a certain sound in my head that I wanted to get out of my guitar(s) & amp  (1968 Les Paul Jr., Bill Lawrence super distortion pick-ups, Schecter Strat copy, 400 Watt Peavey Vulcan Series 500 Amp). The lead guitarist of the band that I'm in now has the Behringer V-Amp. Iplugged into that and I was sold. I just so happened to see this unit here on Musicians Friend and wondered if it would be worth buying. Well, once I got it and figured out how to use it, I found that sound!!!! The sounds and different tones that you can get out of this little blue box are incredible. I have yet to do any recording with it, from what I hear the unit has it's limitations, but I'll cross that bridge later. As far as craftsmanship, it is made out of plastic, so as long as you don't slam-bang it around it should last awhile. I cart mine around wherever we have a gig or practice and haven't had any problems, then again, I'm the only one who handels my gear. Listen people, i'm not an expert but I know what I want to hear, for the price and the sound you can get this definatly worth it

All of you have prob noticed that this accessory is in fact blue, and has many features.  My band has noticed that this product is kinda weak. The effects are non the less cheesy, and overall disappointing.  you would be better off saving your money, and buying something a little more high class.  Remember to stay class, and rock on

This was my first multi-effects pedal, only in the floor model. This is a great deal. You not only get the pedal, but the power adaptor, foot switch and a soft shell case to carry everything. The amp models and the effects sound great. You also get different cabs, which is a nice feature. The only complaint I have is there is no on/off switch. All in all, a really cool pedal with loads of features, definitly worth the price. I'm glad I came back.

I use the V-Amp 2 plugged directly into a recording device & it has worked fantastically for that purpose. My only complaint about it is the physical quality of the unit. The footpedal has never worked for me due to a single tiny screw being stripped (easy fix if you could come across the exact size screw someplace) the other issue is that after a year now the master volume has developed a bit of a short. I also broke one of the knobs off, but in its defense no plastic knob would have withstood that accident. All in all it's a good device... probably need to look at the V AMP PRO if you're going to gig with it or move it around much.

I got this second hand, after a lot of use. The reverb knob broke off, and the jacks were loose. It IS made of plastic, but the tone is amazing. The reverb dosent really fit my liking anyway. With the right settings, you can get ANY sound out of this thing. My favorite is using the classic marshall with no speaker cabinet into a real tube amp. Turn the gain all the way down, its super clean. Then I save the next preset with the gain up. Pretty simple, but sounds great. I also use it with the tube setting with a bass for recording, and to raise the volume of my acoustics single coil dean markley pickup. I love it so much, I'm gonna buy a new one and use the other as a backup.
