OVERVIEW

From elastic delay to vintage slap-back echo, the VD400 harnesses the authentic sounds of 1960s studio wizardry.

Though digital sound technology constantly evolves, nothing sounds quite like the “old-school” analog bucket brigade-style delay you get when you step on the VD400. With its dedicated Repeat Rate, Intensity and Echo dials, this amazing little stompbox evokes the spirits of some of rock and roll’s most legendary heroes, and provides up to 300 milliseconds of true analog delay. Every type of classic delay, from a deep-space whisper, to an interplanetary battle cry—is at your command.

Easy to Operate

The bright blue LED tells you when the Vintage Delay is activated (and serves as a beacon for other time travelers), and the top-quality on/off switch maintains excellent signal integrity in bypass mode. You can power the VD400 with either a 9 V battery or our PSU-SB DC power supply (not included).

Like a Trip Back in Time

The VINTAGE DELAY VD400 is like a snapshot pulled right out of time—and its low price tag will have you reminiscing about how much you miss those good-old days.

I'd guarantee you couldn't find a better NEW in the box sounding Analog Delay pedal for the price with a 3 year warranty from the company that makes these.

Comments about Behringer Vintage Delay VD400 Analog Delay Effects Pedal:

I bought this with a gift card just trying to spend it without going over. I was looking for a delay pedal that would cover basic needs, nothing fancy. I was amazed at the quality when I powered this up. It does have a small effect on tone, but in a good way, kind of like film vs high def. I am using it mainly just to fatten up my guitar sound, and it really fills it out. When used with my Morley JD pedal it makes a great addition.

Comments about Behringer Vintage Delay VD400 Analog Delay Effects Pedal:

It took a little while to get used to it, though I've never used a delay pedal, so I guess that's just me. Besides that, the pedal is awesome! It's cheap, easy, and has great quality. I love the Behringer company, and hope they continue to produce such useful products.

Comments about Behringer Vintage Delay VD400 Analog Delay Effects Pedal:

I don't like an extreme delay so this one fits me ok. It can do the slapback type but I preferred the slow and subtle settings 9 - 12 - 9 O'clock. The sound quality is fine but I don't plan to use it all the time. Combine with DS1 in front, it comes out for 80's Hairband style solos as well as U2 and Pink Floyd sounds. It is on my pedal board for that type of stuff but I reserve it for solos.

Comments about Behringer Vintage Delay VD400 Analog Delay Effects Pedal:

I just got the VD400 and put it through its paces. The sound quality is not bad, for the money its a good value. It does not change your guitar tone much, if at all. The case is plastic and I am not sure how much road abuse it would take. (in the studio it will last a long time) Getting a battery in it was a challenge, it has a very unusual way of opening the compartment, (you use a pen to push the hinges in). Once the battery is in it is a challenge to get it all put back together. The pedal spring will easily fall out if your not careful. (At a gig in the dark this could be a real problem) The controls are what you would expect. For a traditional delay sound I have the rate at 7 o'clock, echo and intesity at 12 o'clock. For a slapback the rate is around 1 o'clock, with echo and intesity at 9 to 10 o'clock. I do wish the delay was a little longer, but (again) for the money I won't complain.
Overall, I like it and will use for all kinds of little Pink Floydish delay things.
