A lovely little amp, with very clean design and electronics. First thing I did when I took it out of the box and plugged it in to power was set the volume to maximum and listen, with nothing going in and the overdrive off. Silence was my reward, which is what you expect - no buzz, no hum, no nothing. That reflects the quality of the wiring, of course.
Next I switched on the overdrive, and got a nice solid sound of white noise that you'd expect. Turned that off, shut down the power, and got out my Oscar Schmidt/Washburn OU2E Concert Uke and plugged it in. Turned the amp back on, set all the relevant nobs to 5, and started playing. The sound was clean and lovely. Cranked the volume up to ten, and it was clean, lovely and loud. Switched on the VTC and it added breadth and warmth to the sound - very nice tube modelling for an amp in this bracket. Turned on the overdrive and immediately had to turn down the OD gain and volume because, after all, it's an acoustic instrument and started to feed back 'cause I was pointed at the amp... but once I got the levels down it was clear that the overdrive would be a nice alternative sound.
So that got me to pull out my Peavy G-model electric guitar, and the sound was consistently good. Plenty of volume, with the kind of control you'd expect from a straight-up "clean" amp, with no distortion even cranked up.
Summary: the 8" Bugera speaker and typically good Behringer electronics shine in this compact, inexpensive amp, very suitable for home studio, practice and light performance use.

This is a fine amp if you need something light, portable for practice. Sound quality is average; hard to get the same clarity that I get from bigger, more expensive amps, so takes a bit of work to re-EQ guitar sounds to be acceptable. My goal was to have something portable for practices only, so it meets that need. I would not use this for any professional work or recording.

Comments about Behringer VIRTUBE VT15CD 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amplifier:
I bought this amp for my 12 year old Nephew as a Christmas present. He stayed over during the New Year's Eve weekend, so we spent quite a bit of time playing guitars. I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and semi-clean tones I got from this amp. I could pull off some great "Riviera Paradise" tones with my Strat. The distortion channel was about average for amps like these. But it kept my Nephew happy while he was banging out AC/DC and Metallica chords.
One feature I really liked was the Virtube circuit. It takes the amp from a sterile, typical solid state amp, and fattens up and adds warmth to it. Not like adding gain, but it really does give a tube presence to the tone.
I've been helping my Brother-in-law build a recording studio, and I can see this amp being used in it for some tracks. A very nice amp, and when you consider its paltry price, it's a no-brainer!

Comments about Behringer VIRTUBE VT15CD 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amplifier:
This is a very nice amp but I have never owned an amp before this. For my first amp it really gets the job done, it sounds awesome, and for the price you couldn't find a better deal. I have also bought an Epiphone Les Paul Special II and with the amp it sounds great. You could play various songs from Dust in the Wind to Crazy Train and it sounds much like the original songs. I strongly recommend buying this amp because I could not have been happier with my purchase.

Comments about Behringer VIRTUBE VT15CD 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amplifier:
Very good clean sound. Virtube gives it a nice warmth.
The overdrive is too harsh. The gain needs to be dialed way down. Unless your into heavy metal forget the overdrive channel.
