Worth Every Penny

Comments about Blackstar Artisan Series 15 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Flat out, the best amp I've ever owned (or played). I was seriously considering the Egnater Rebel 20 half stack and the Rebel 30 combo. So glad I went with this amp. Yes, it requires you to change the placement of the cables you plug in, while the Egnater amps allow you to just turn a dial, but the Blackstar's tone is incomparable. You can get ANY tone you want with a little experimentation. The 5-watt setting is still plenty loud for many small to medium sized venues and has its own charm. But when you switch to the 15-watt setting -- look out! Ridiculous sound. Blows away my buddy's Classic 30 in tone and volume. I got lucky and picked mine up used for less than half the list price, but I would gladly pay full retail, knowing what I know now.

Great tone, Great price.

Comments about Blackstar Artisan Series 15 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I've had this amp for about a year now. I play a Fender 72 tele reissue, Gibson 60's double cutaway (p90's), a bunch of pedals going out of a lehle p splitter and then to the amp. I plug into both low channels and run them at the same time. Both volumes and tone at 9 o clock. The tone to me is incredible. The build quality of these amps are incredible as well. If you're looking for an affordable alternative to matchless, dr z, etc, but with similar boutique tones, check this amp out.

Phenomenal

Comments about Blackstar Artisan Series 15 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

This is one fantastic amp. I'm inspired and blown away with the tone and feel- without a doubt the best amp I've played, let alone owned. True boutique quality. I added a couple boutique pedals as well as a Blackstar HT-Dual for higher gain and I'm set. Never heard of them before I tried this amp in a store. Definitely read up on them online. Awesome new company from guys that split from Marshall. Check one out if you can!

The search is over

Comments about Blackstar Artisan Series 15 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Ok first off I have to say that I have had an obsession with guitar amps and trying to find that perfect tone somewhere between led zeppelin,to Queen to Van Halen. I have spent over 20,000 dollars and owned over 40 amps in my life looking for that classic rock sound. THIS IS IT. I've learned a lot from tinkering with changing tubes, speakers, picks, pickups, pickup height, string gauges and lowering voltage with a variac to get the van halen sound. the 5 watt switch sounds like this amps plate voltage is being lowered and distorts the power tubes easier with more compression too. This amp will do every sound from free ride by edgar winter to mister scary by george lynch. I'm done, this is the best amp I've ever heard and had oppotunity to play in all my 35 years of playing.

You have to know what you want.

Comments about Blackstar Artisan Series 15 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is great. I like it very simple so if you're looking for an amp with every possible frequency control knob this ISN'T your amp. However if you're looking for a nice transparent amp this just might be your deal. This amp sounds incredible. It close to a matchless in my opinion. Not a whole ton of clean headroom, however if you're mic'ing the amp you'll be fine.

Excellent tone

Comments about Blackstar Artisan Series 15 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is truely like a fender and a marshall had a tone child. It's quite versitle with channel blending, and is great for home or gig'ing. I use it at home only, with an '80 LP played through a holy grail reverb and ibanez delay. It sounds fantastic. I gave it a 4 for features due to the lack of an effects loop and built in spring reverb. I don't need those, but they are nice standard additions that a lot of other amps come with.
