Comments about Blackstar Venue Series HTV-112 80W 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I just got this today, so it might be hasty, but I'm excited enough to write a review, which I don't normally do. I currently have the Egnater Rebel 20 head and 1x12 cab, which I'd been thinking about getting another cab to fill some sound out, researching all sorts of options. It sounds good, but I wasn't quite satisfied. Without having tried the Blackstar, and just going off of reviews of their other products I decided to try this cab WITH my Egnater, for now, and see if I sell that and get the HT-40 or something. Anyway, this thing shows up, and I have to say I was surprised at how BIG AND HEAVY this cab was!! Jeez, I thought I'd sneak this one past my wife. Well it's got some nice bulk, and I set it in my home studio under my Rebel 20 head in the same spot as the rebel cab was, and WOW. This thing really has a full sound. Power chords shook my house like my bass rig does. I swapped back and forth a few times between the cabs, and tried them together too. They both sound good, but for the kinda rockin' I want to do the Blackstar is my choice (esp. for the money).

best 1x12 ive ever owned

Comments about Blackstar Venue Series HTV-112 80W 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I love this cab, sounds fantastic with both my tube heads. It is very loud and I'm kinda glad I didn't get the 2x12. Wonderful tone if you play hard/alt rock especially and outdoes my Marshall cab which has a vintage 30. I would like to hear this with the blackstar low watt amps also but it's great with what I have. Highly recommended. If you are hunting for a 1x12, sharpen your claws and snatch baby up.
I like the stock speaker a lot, and at 16ohms its perfect with both my valve Jr. And Marshall tube heads.
Built like a tank. Design is very nice. Heavier than my orange and jetcity cabs. You won't find anything to complain about even if it was more expensive.
Awesome value, looks great, built great, sounds great, for this price how could I not give it a ten.

I purchased this to use with my new Orange Dark Terror amp. I couldn't be happier with the combination. The tones produced by this combination are exactly what I was looking for! Beautiful resonance from this cab.

Comments about Blackstar Venue Series HTV-112 80W 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

This is a nice addition for the HT-40 or the HT Soloist 60. This gives those Blackstar combos extra punch as they can then run on 8 ohms, rather than the 1x12 16 ohm speaker in the combo. Helps the clean sound, and gives the lead sound more bottom end. If you have a HT-40 or HT-60 Soloist this cabinet is a must have.

Comments about Blackstar Venue Series HTV-112 80W 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

This cab comes with a Celestion Seventy 80 speaker, which is a very low-rated speaker. Before I swapped it out, I did a test recording for the heck of it and it actually sound VERY good. And with being an open back, I couldn't believe what I was hearing! At this price, you can't go wrong.Oh and this cab is HUGE for a 1x12!!!

Comments about Blackstar Venue Series HTV-112 80W 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

It's a great speaker cab. I haven't put a mic on it yet, but I'm sure it will sound awesome through a PA as well.
I purchased this HTV-112 to be paired up with my HT-5H head. It's big, it's heavy, but it sounds awesome. The styling is very cool, no complaints there. My only *slight* gripe is that I would prefer the lows to be a bit more prominent for the "growl" settings, but that may be an issue with the amp. It's great. It's a little pricey, but compared to other speaker extension cabs in the same price range, it's a good value. 16 ohms. I haven't tried to run it with anything but the HT-5H yet. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Comments about Blackstar Venue Series HTV-112 80W 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

It is working with my HT50 head. The speaker inside is a Celestion 70-80, which initially I thought of changing for a "better" one, but I am quite happy with how it pairs up with the head. I use single coils and humbuckers, Fenders and PRS guitars. All good... no boutique stuff, just good Enough for the real life of a constantly learning guitarrist.

Great addition to compliment my HT 60 Soloist. The seventy 80 is a decent cheaper speaker, but i will change it out for a better speaker. Maybe a V30 or Eminence Governor. That will make it a monster

Nice addition to the HT-40. Adds the low end it had previously lacked. Once the speaker is broken in it sounds very good.
