Comments about Bogner Shiva 80W 1x12 and Reverb Tube Guitar Combo Amp with EL34s:
My Shiva is the 1x12, 80 watts EL34 tubes. It has 2 channels and a lead boost, all footswitchable (as is the reverb). The clean channel is sparkly and clean, easily besting my Fender, an amp revered for its clean sounds. I can crank the gain on the Shiva's clean channel, and it warms up and overdrives a bit for a great, bluesy crunch. Another great thing about the clean channel is that it works very well with overdrive pedals to give a great, clear, warm overdrive tone (whereas some nameless amps, when an overdrive is used on the clean channel, have a brittle, sharp tone). The crunch channel on the Shiva is equally, if not more impressive. The overdrive can go anywhere from light crunch (ala The Police, Steely Dan), all the way to hard and heavy overdrive that is sure to please the Ritchie Blackmore or Eddie Van Halen in all of us. The crunch channel also works well with pedals, and used with the right pedals (such as Xotic AC Boost or BB Preamp), only takes the sound from sublime to beautiful, making the use of the Shiva not only one of the great pleasures in musical expression, but also one of the great pleasures of life itself.
The life of every guitarist worth his weight in Dunlop Jazz III picks is the pursuit of tone--the search for that ever elusive sound that one hears in one's head. I would dare say that during the musical career of every guitarist, thousands upon thousands of dollars are spent on amps, pedals, trinkets, and gadgets that color the sound--some bringing us closer to "the sound," and some failing miserably.
After three decades (and tens of thousands of dollars wasted on Kustom, Peavey, Marshall, Line 6, Mesa Boogie, Fender, ADA, Roland, Lab Series, Holmes, Vox, Yamaha, VHT, Ibanez, and other amps), I finally found THE sound. Pure and simply, its the Bogner Shiva. While all my other amps have had a smattering of good characteristics, none of them have been as consistently and completely great as the Bogner Shiva.

Perfect, no frills, no bull, spine-chilling sound machine.
This amp is built very solidly. Sturdy, heavy, solid, beautiful and toneful--everything you want in an amp. I've had no issues.
Yes, it is a bit pricey. However, instead of spending a lot on 5 different amps that you will never really be happy with, go ahead and save the money and get one amp, the Bogner Shiva, and your quest for the Holy Grail of Guitar Tone will finally come to an end.
Comments about Bogner Shiva 80W 1x12 and Reverb Tube Guitar Combo Amp with EL34s:
This is the best sounding amp without a lot of tweaking on the market for British classic rock. Nice clean channel (will not distort) and great overdrive channel & boost. It only lacks the Texas blues sound which can be added using a Fulltone OCD on the clean channel. Plenty of punch and gain. Portable and pure.
