I can't recommend this product for any fulltime traveling musician. I have owned this pedal board for a little under a year now the shell is sturdy enough but I have already broken a latch on it so the case doesn't stay closed all the way and I am in constent fear of the other one breaking. The electronics are great, especially for the price, and I have never had a problem with them but the space is limited due in part to the fact that this board is geared for people who use only Boss stlye effects, which I do not. This product is fine for weekend warriors but if are a serious touring musician drop the extra cash on something better.

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

Pretty good board except for the cheap/poorly designed latches. Mine was holding out pretty good (I don't abuse my equipment) until my fat drummer stepped on it one day and broke both latches. I calles Boss customer support to buy more but they wanted $4.60 EACH for the things!!! Plus $6.00 to ship!!! Needless to say I was very disappointed. The latches are very small and should NOT cost that much to manufacture or to ship. A free replacement would be fair considering how cheaply made they are. I would have paid for them if the price was fair but no way was i going to pay over fifteen dollars for two crappy little pieces of plastic that would probably just break again anyway. Thanks a lot BOSS. I will likely not be purchasing another of your products. One thing I LIKE about the board is the foam in the lid. It holds all the pedals in place so you don't have to put velcro on the bottom of them. If it weren't for the cheap latches and the poor service concerning them I would have given this board all five stars.

Great piece for anyone

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

This pedal board really is wonderful. Everything is self contained and easy to use. The stereo output is really a neat feature along with the power supply and cable hiding. One thing I found is that if you simply remove the foam inserts that only hold boss pedals and line the bottom with Velcro you can have any pedal anywhere you want it. The only thing that could be improved are the latches. They are flimsy but if you take care of the board it will be the most reliable thing you own.

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I had read about the cheapness of the plastic, the "thinness" of the power cord, and other things about this pedalboard. But, I've had it for 2 giggin' years; have taken average care of it and it is an awesome pedalboard. Make a point to keep the box and use it during transport; it will help. My biggest reservation was that using the In/out jacks on the pedal would change the sound. Nope. At least i don't notice it. When I first got it, I accidently cutout the wrong configuration in the foam for my pedals. I had it backwards, but I super glued the foam back in and started over. True: if you change your pedals frequently, your satisfaction may be limited. I use mostly Boss pedals and similar sized variations with a Crybaby at the beginning. Once you get used to it, you don't even have to look down to switch on your effects because your foot "feels" where they are. Quality is 3.5 because of the cheap plastic hinges. If one broke, I would be mad. Maybe I got lucky from the production line that day.

Great board, just not hardend enough

    By Forgiven612

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I have had my BCD60 for almost 2 years now. I have had it filled with pedals and everythig very well organized. My problem with the board is as many other reviewers have written. If you at all bumped the plastic tags holding the case together they break off. These tabs are made very cheaply and now I can't even keep my pedal board closed. It is also having problems with internal wiring causing cutout problems. Overall I really like the jack connection outlits and power supply train, but Boss needs to take the same pedal board with the latest in wiring connections and build it into an ATA case. I am ditching my busted up BCD60 for a PedalTrain.

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I bought one of these years ago because I wanted a powered pedal board to transport all my stomp boxes. It seemed pretty good at first, but I found that the lid wouldn't close when the pedals were in it. I read the instructions that said I should cut out the foam around the shape of the pedals to keep them in place. I did and they fit. The problem is that if I want to change my configuration, I can't because the foam is cut to the size and shape of the pedals I first put in. Also, one of the plastic latches broke and now it won't stay closed. I got a Black Kross case and a one spot, it holds and powers 9 pedals and a wireless receiver. It has secure latches too. The Boss BCB-60 only allowed me to have 5 pedals. It's sitting in my closet, unused. I can't even re-sell it because of the cut out foam pad and broken latch.

    Clean look, weak power.

    By shaunTCL

    from Oklahoma City

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I haven't seen a pedal board that is so organized as this one. I was looking for a board that wouldn't look so messy with a bunch of cables and power cords running everywhere. I have found one in the BCB-60. You just line up all your pedals, plug in your cables and power cords, and hide them away in the covered compartment. I will say though that I lose a substantial amount of power to my pedals, my Boss TU-2 tuner being the worst. This board failed on me several times when I needed it the most, during my showcase at SXSW music conference in Austin. I will however purchase a pedal power unit to see if that helps. If not, I will be selling this one and looking for something else. My board consists of a Boss TU-2 tuner, a Boss GEB-7 Bass Equalizer, a Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive, a Sansamp Bass Driver DI, and a low end volume pedal. I have recently taken the overdrive pedal out and gained a little more power. I have also tried different power daisy chains. The black clips did break off as well but I just bought two small pad locks and that did the trick. That wasn't really a big issue for me since I tour quite a bit and need my pedals locked up anyway.

    Great Board, Just Not Roadworthy

    By Guitarzan-JZ6gU

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

As far as functionality and operation of this board is concerned, it is a great board. I love how it keeps all the cables hidden and contained. Super easy set up and pack up. But beware if you do a lot of gigging and travel where you pack it in a trailer or van. I have broken both latches on mine(cheap plastic) and now it won't close. Going to be switching to something more durable.

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I recently started out on my journey for supreme tone. I ran across this after I bought a nice fender tube amp. Of course I wanted all of my good BOSS pedals in my setup. By the way you CAN cut this board for a different type of pedal, but BOSS is simply the best pedal manufacturer and provides the best setup. This board is great. Powers up to six compact pedals, or 3 boss combo pedals. Another feature I found useful is the tuner slot up in the top-right-hand corner. It also has a "cable-conduit" to hide your excess cable. Easy to set-up with the simple schematic BOSS sends with the product. Has two inputs and outputs. Mine is setup just straight in-line, but with boss pedals there are many ways to do it. BE SURE TO PURCHASE A BOSS NS-2 NOISE SUPRESSOR. Having multiple pedals in line makes for a noisy setup. Pedals are pretty much useless without a board and you can only use one at a time without batteries. Great features, and price! 100% safe buy for anyone that wants to put their BOSS pedals to good use.

    Good Concept, Terrible Product

    By Steve-O-0WP0g

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

A powered pedalboard complete with all the connections sounded like a great idea. The price was reasonable, so I gave it a shot. NOT WORTH IT! The plastic clasps broke off just after the return period. The power was also dirty and added significant hum to my rig. This is a good case if you aren't traveling... 3 or 4 trips in the back of my band trailer and this pedalboard was TOAST! Save your money and get a SKB PS-45, you'll be glad you did!

    Not one for gigs

    By John Reyemlonk

    from Boston, MA

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

If you are interested in playing with friends on the weekends, this is the one for you, but it doesn't last long. The power supply isn't great and dies on me sometimes. It also does not accommodate with pedals made by other manufacturers very well. You would be better off making your own pedalboard out of wood and velcro.

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I think it is sooooo convenient to have all my pedals in an easy to close and transport case. I put my flanger, distortion, noise supressor, drive, pitch shifter and wah in there (all boss). Its pretty durable, except for the plastic itself. When I first got the board, i had a gig coming up. So, i loaded up the board, but two padlocks on it, and got in the car. when i got to the gig i realized i left the keys to the padlocks at home. i HAD to use the board for the show, so i broke the plastic rings the padlocks go through to hold the board shut with a screwdriver. I got to play the show with the pedals, but it proved the plastic could be stronger. Some people have complained about the latches. I hear ya, but they haven't failed me yet.one cool feature is that it comes with a power daisy chain, effect pedal cables, and a removable panel to fit a wah pedal. its also very cool that you can stash the cables away from sight and sabotage.Seeing that it hasn't failed me for over 3 years, and that it's a good solution to protect and transport my pedals, i would say it was a good buy.

    nice try, but...

    By Prayzer

    from New York

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

I bought this product as an alternative to more expensive and durable pedal boards. There are many aspects of this board that are well designed. The board is complete and durable. It provides a compact unit that would appear to be gig worthy if you do not require too many pedals. I have a Cry Baby, Boss Tuner, BOSS Compressor, Boss Distortion, Boss Chorus, Digitech Delay, and they fit perfectly. I can switch out the BOSS pedals at will. I find the unit works very well, if you make sure to anchor the pedals to the board.I play primarily through a Mesa Boogie, and a Fender Vibrolux. I notice an acceptable loss of sound quality through the board itself. The problem is the system of plastic tabs that keep this unit closed. They break off easily. I had to order a few from BOSS immediately, and I've broken those as well. They aren't cheap. These tabs are particularly vulnerable on stage, as the tabs are on the pedal board, -not the lid, which is removableThe board is very solid otherwise, as you would expect from BOSS, except for one more item. The AC adaptor is very flimsy compared to the rest of the board. I've also had to replace this piece due to frayed wiring, also surprisingly expensive.I can honestly say I've road tested this item. I still use it, but now I keep it closed with gaffers tape. I've given up on the tabs. If BOSS were to re-design the tab lock system, this board would be great for the local musician who does not require an arsenal of pedals and does not ship gear. As it is now, it's an exercise in frustration for any serious player.

Comments about Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board:

The wall wart power supply is a joke (begs to be kicked out), as are the flimsy plastic latches which fail all the time. Angle the stinkin' wall wart so it can be secured with duct tape to an extension, or build it into the case, Boss! Why make such a fine product with two such easily-fixable major flaws?
