This rang is perfect for freshman live looping artists. It's very very simple to use. It's a BOSS, tougher than nails, which is perfect for me.It takes practice to get used to tapping the downbeat but with some sense of timing you should pick it up very quickly. I'm using this in a solo acoustic show and it is fun to layer sounds and build a song with anything at your disposal, an egg shaker, a tamborine, buy a bass! This pedal opened up a serious can of possibilities for anyone building a live performance, anyone who wants a fantastic toy to jam with, or anyone who like me worships Keller Williams and loves live looping during a solo show. It's worth all the dough.

This looper has many cool functions on it, but is really lacking when it comes to control of the unit. It's in a stomp box design (which is perfect for the guitar), but the really cool controls are all done with dials that need to be turned by hand. These controls need to be translated into foot pedals instead of dials so a guitarist can make these changes with his feet (on the fly). You can't play and switch phrases because you need to stop playing to turn a dial. It would also be nice to be able to set the volume of each recorded phrase instead of the unit doing it for you when you record over a phrase. I like the unit though, and is great to write with!

Fun and easy pedal to play with.

By slickspoon

from SC

This is probably one of my favorite pedals. Is good to use during live playing but better for practice without the cheap sound of a tape recorder or buying an expensive studio board. i like laying lead tracks on top of a riff or even trying out bass lines with certain riffs. Ive also used it to try a couple of vocal harmoneys. I recomend this pedal for people who dont alwayes have another guitarist by your side and want to experement or master leads.

Great piece of gear

This unit is truly awesome. Extremely easy to use, no hum or distortion. Great for practicing soloing after laying down a fat bassline. I have used it about twice a week for almost 2 years, and still holding up strong. I do have one complaint, although it's tiny: the metronome function's volume seems like an extremely sharp incline. It's hard to put in on a low volume. I don't use the function much, so it hasn't been a problem.

Loop Station

This Loop Station is not only awesome for live shows, but when I first bought this, I could not solo at all. This is like having a 2nd guitarist around for hours upon hours, and I have become a much better lead guitarist within the first week of owning this!! I highly recommend buying it today!! Enjoy!!

The RC-20 holds up and is more accurate than any other looping pedal I have played. It's amazing.

Boss RC-20 Loop Station

By NUTNSEZ-g8l5_

The Good: Perfect sound. Very easy to use. Unbelieveably fun for hours at a time! The Bad: Only the start, stop, and record features are foot-opperated. It does an absolutely terrible job of eliminateing vocals from prerecorded recording.Summary: I would buy this again in a heartbeat!

This pedal is my favorite practice tool of all, time I use it when teaching, songwriting or just to practice jamming over progressions, excellent sound quality easy to use, superb design. my favorite use is to jam with a drummer by looping a bass line thru a bass rig. No bass player no problem.

RC-20 Loop Station

By RC20 Loop Station

I love it. When I heard it being used at one of the local music stores, I bought it. Works great with both my Electric-Acousitc and Electric w/Fender Junior Acoustic Amp and Fender Frontman Sreies ll - I have hours of fun with it. If you are a single musician like myself and have no one to jam with, get it - you'll love it. I think the LOOP should be at least 10 minutes.

No Tone

The pedal kills the tone of my set up. Putting a trim knob on the loop station was the real bad idea

Great for solo gigs

By Peacemover

The Boss RC20 Loop station comes with 11 tracks you can record riffs or comp chords on, then overdub with solos and/or fills...Great for live solo gigs, also great for practicing- i.e. record a chord progression first time through, then stomp the box and solo over the chords next time around. This pedal is a must have for the solo musician.

Great learning tool

I wish I had the "RC-20" 30 years ago. Lay down the rhythm track and practice your leads till the cows come home. What a great way to learn lead playing.
