Budda

Emulates the finest vintage and modern hi gain tones at manageable volumes!

Built with the finest components and construction to withstand the abuse of constant roadwork, the Budda Superdrive 30 Series II Combo won't let you down. You can dial in just the right amount of gain and volume for late night studio work and small club venues. The rhythm channel packs plenty of punch and dynamics, just like Budda's famous Twinmaster circuit. The flex of the EL84 and 5u4 rectifier tubes give an elasticity to your tone that is pure organic soul! The amplifier's hi-gain channel offers plenty of variation, from creamy blue tones, to full on hyperdrive crunch. The master doesn't choke the amp, so you get plenty of touch-sensitive sustain at low volume settings.

The Superdrive features speaker cable wiring by Monster Cable. Monster Cable uses Time Correct Windings and advanced cable construction to deliver an accurate signal with deeper bass and wider dynamic range in high performance sound reinforcement applications. Budda has never sounded better.

I ordered this thinking I would probably return it after a few days , but the more I play it , the more I wonder why I never tried one of these sooner. I play in a variety band. We do everything from country to adult alternative. No metal. This amp lets me hear more of what my guitar sounds like. I get great overdrive with the amp and just use my boost pedal with the drive channel if I need a little more gain.
Got rid of a few overdrives that I just do not need anymore. It is a very articulate and unforgiving amp. You hear all the complex chord notes and all your mistakes clearer. But the sound forces me to play better. I would recommend to anyone to keep an open mind and give one a try. I am saving for a superdrive 80 head for my next purchase. My only complaint is no LED for the footswitch , otherwise this would be a perfect rating.
Great layout .I like the footswitch jack on the front rather than the rear like most amps. Lay out for knobs is easy to use. Easy to get a great sound with having mess with the knobs too much. I would give it a 10 if the footswitch had an LED that showed which channel was being used. Honestly did not think I would like this amp because I am extremely picky. Lots of sounds at your disposal. I use the effects loop for delay , reverb ,and chorus. Works best for me this way.
Gigged with it for two months now every weekend and no problems. Asked a local repair guy what he thought of them and if he had worked on any frequently. He recommended it as a reliable amp and that was good for me. I always ask repair people which amps they see alot of and which ones are problem prone. The cab is solid pine and lightweight for the 2x12 combo I got. It looks great. Stock speakers sound great with this amp . Tolex has a great look and knobs are easy to see with the purple background with black knobs.
This is one of the best sounding amps I have owned. I have owned Matchless , Fuchs, Roccaforte, Dr.Z, Marshalls and every Fender made.. The price was great for the sound I am getting. It easily blows away any amp I have owned soundwise for this price. About half the price of any boutique amp with the same features. This is one of the few amps with a great clean sound and a very usable gain channel.

I've played this and it wasn't capable of doing what I wanted, which was high gain mayhem. I've never played a Buddah before this and had no knowledge of what type of amps they were. I think that this amp is extremely over priced, especially considering the fact that the damn thing doesn't even have reverb. I also can't stand how all of the reviews for this and the 1x12 Buddah are the exact same. Obviously someone's trying to push marketing for these two overpriced amps. Musicians Friend will probably edit my comment as usual to get what they want out of the comment too. Save your money and get something else.

Boutique quality for less-than boutique price

Comments about Budda Superdrive 30 Series II 2x12 Combo:

I've predominately used Marshall over the years, and presently use a JCM800 and Fender Deluxe Reverb as my main amps. Before buying the Budda I seriously considered Mesa ElectraDyne and Rivera Fandango, though I played through a countless number of amps by both large production and boutique manufacturers. My objective was to find something that was versatile, simplistic in style and operation, and different in sound and appearance. Bingo. The SD30II is capable of beautiful Vox-like cleans to downright nasty Marshall-esque distortion and everything in between, without emulating any amp. Make no mistake; the Budda has a voice entirely its own. The EQ is shared between channels but the bands are satisfyingly effective and dialing in your sweet spot is quite easy. It's a beautiful amp and build-quality is second-to-none. And with only six knobs it's exceedingly simple to use and get to know. What I find most amazing is how I went so long without considering this amp. Maybe it was the purple that averted my attention, but all it took was to plug in that made me a believer. Pun intended.

Ignore the naysayers!

By BuddaRules

Comments about Budda Superdrive 30 Series II 2x12 Combo:

Been playing this amp about 3 years now and it's the best amp I've ever heard! I am unable to find anything that comes close. Super sweet gain channel, unmatched anywhere in my opinion. Wonderfully articulate, just a beautiful instrument. Some say it's over priced, I say it's worth every penny. As far as reverb goes, the tone is complex enough that none is needed...unless someone was just trying to cover up their sloppy playing of course...

Such beautiful tone(s) from this amp. Gotta crank it to get 'em, though. Showcases the beautiful musicality of EL-84s. A true rock amp. Kinda purple, though.

Smokin' amp

By evilbro

Comments about Budda Superdrive 30 Series II 2x12 Combo:

This amp just smokes.I have many amps and this is my favorite by far. No it doesn't have 50 channels and graphic eq but it doesn't need it. It has THE tone. My old Marshalls will become doorstops.

Awesome amp well worth the money.

Comments about Budda Superdrive 30 Series II 2x12 Combo:

Glassy big tone and sweet overdrive make this a fabulous amp. I own three Budda's and people always comment on how great my sound is. You can really hear the articulation in each note. Just sweet. Reverb would be the only thing that I could suggest to the folks at Budda to add.
