I've played every practice and every gig with this cabinet for over a year and it's got a few dings in the tolex, but where it counts, it still works great! Are there better cabinets out there? sure there are, but for a couple of hundred bucks, it's the best I found for the money.
First of all, I've waited over a year to write this review because I really hate the reviews that start off with "My parents just bought me this today... blah blah blah..." I want to know that it lasts and what it sounds like in different places.. not on a carpeted bedroom floor playing it soft enough so that the parents that just bought it don't complain...

I was on a pretty strict budget when I bought this cabinet to give an extra couple of 12's to my 1974 Fender Twin. I fully expected that I was going to have to, at a minimum, change the speakers fairly soon as the Twin is putting out 100 watts of Fender power, I just didn't think they were going to last. Well, It's been over a year and it's still rockin'. I stack the Twin on top of it, or lean it back for a monitor next to it depending on the stage set up we're on. in that case the Bugera is the speaker that the audience hears, and I'm ok with that.. so much so that I mic the Bugera Cabinet instead of the Fender,
The Tolex covering is not as durable as I would have liked, but if the pretty outside cover is where they saved the money, I'm ok with that. The Handle is huge which made stacking the twin on there a bit of a challenge, so, I bolted a 3/4" X 6" of plastic stock on either side of the handle that gives the amp a firm place to sit and gives the handle plenty of room. I put castors on the bottom so it's easy for this old man to transport around.
Overall, a great Cabinet at twice the price. I've turned the Twin up to 6 at an outside venue and the speakers handled the volume without distorting.

Comments about Bugera 212V-BK 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

This cabinet is the best one I've owned in the 45 yrs. I've been playing.. It's worth twice as much as it costs. It's sound is as clean as you want, yet with a tube amp it really shines when the amp hits it's "break-up" point. I've got the big combo which is this cabinet with a head and with this on bottom it rivals any 4x12" cabinet-head stack out there.. Buy it and you'll never turn back!!

Comments about Bugera 212V-BK 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I bought this to go with a Bugera 1960 head that I traded a guitar for, I've only had it for a week so it may be too early to know if the tone will change much with more speaker break in, I've been playing combo amps for about 15 years mainly because of portability and because most of the playing I've done over the years has been at church and I guess I thought people would freak out if I brought a 4x12 half stack in just from the shear size of the amp , so what I was missing was the sound a closed back cabinet makes , I'm pretty happy with the tightness and punch this cab makes paired with the 1960 head , I'm hoping that the tone will mellow some because it sounds kind of bright on the high end but I've not played it with drums yet either and sometimes the sound that may sound too bright is just what it takes to cut through the rest of the band, I love the look of the cab with the Matchless style grill cloth and the fact I can use it stereo with my ADA MP1 and as an extension cab for my Bugera BC30 combo so I had a lot of reasons for buying this cab , so bottom line is I'm loving it although I may replace speakers later on , I highly recommend the cab , I gave it 5 stars for the versatility and for the price .

Comments about Bugera 212V-BK 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I compared this cab to my buddy's Avatar 2x12 cabs right after I got it. He has one loaded with Celestion 25w greenbacks and one with Avatar Hellatone 60s (which are Celestion Vintage 30 speakers that have been mildly broken in). The Bugera is loaded with Bugera 70w speakers. The stock speakers seem to be tonally similar to the greenbacks. The Bugera speakers do not sound anything like the V30s. If the V30 sound is what you want, the Bugera cab is NOT for you. I very much prefer the greenback sound, and the Bugera speakers are definitely in the ballpark of the GBs. They do not sound as good as the Celestions, they are a little darker sounding. THe Greenbacks are more open and sound fuller. But for the price, which was less than half what my friend paid for his Avatars, they are a great deal. I will upgrade at least one of the speakers in the cab eventually, but I do not feel any rush to do so. The stock speakers sound very good, and I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Comments about Bugera 212V-BK 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

This cab is very good. I have other cabs (mostly 2 x 12 - which is my preference) which have cost significantly more money and are loaded with 'name' brand speakers (Celestion or Eminence), this cab sounds just as good as my best cab.

I am a real stickler for quality speakers and wasn't sure how the bugeras would sound, I've swapped out bad speakers before and know what a huge difference in sound quality a good speaker cam make. Typically what I look for in a speaker is high sensitivity (98 spl), power handling - minimum 60 watts per and the weight of the magnet. All of my speakers (didn't open the Bugera - so don't know about sensitivity or weight) are high end and expensive guitar speakers, typically Eminence speakers but I got a couple of Celestions, very old but they sound great. I A/B'd this cab to death and it sounds as good or better then any I have, not quite as much of that brittle sparkle that some of my cabs have, - but I like it that way.

These are definitely winners (FYI - I'm not a pro - so my cabs stay at home, they get less abuse).

Comments about Bugera 212V-BK 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I'm gigging musician that plays in a '60s rock-n-roll cover band at night clubs every weekend. I really liked the Bugera V55 HD I bought used and re-tubed, it's been a reliable workhorse for me for nearly two years, so when I saw one of these matching cabs used on CL, I figured I'd give it a shot. After two gigs, I gave up on trying to make it sound good. It is very sterile sounding, totally lacking in dimension. So I removed a third of the back panel, and swapped the cheapo Chinese Bugera speakers with their lightweight magnets for an old British-made McKenzie out of a Marshall cab, and an Eminence-made Reverend Alltone, and now it sounds fantastic!

Comments about Bugera 212V-BK 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I purchased this cab as a "do all" piece of equipment. I have a couple of different heads and I wanted the versatility to run either 4/8/16 ohms.
The 4/16 ohm setting is in mono and the 8 ohm is in stereo.

When running mono, the amp has a lot of room to breathe in that those Bugera drivers sound fantastic. In the 8 ohm position, it's possible to run two heads in stereo or simply use just one of the drivers.

I ran an Orange Micro Terror in all three settings and it sounded just fantastic. In stereo, the Micro Terror and the EHX 22 caliber (with a Character series pedal in front of it) gave me an amazing spectrum of tone with a true stereo image coming out of my TC Nova System.

Bugera speakers are the real deal. The cab is sturdy enough and will last if you don't beat the heck out of it. It's not plywood so it's not going to hold up to massive abuse. However, it's not going to fall apart on you either.

Overall, this is THE cab deal out there. The only thing I would like is a convertible open back but that's an easy enough mod.

I wanted a stereo speaker cabinet and this was the least expensive I could find. Didn't want a 4X12. This is a 2x12 and it fit the bill. Plus it can be configured to run in mono with a flick of a switich. At 50+ pounds it is not exactly light, certainly lighter than a 4x12 cabinent. I don't like the handle as it sticks up too high and won't allow the amp head I am using to sit level. I just unscrew it after I move it. Still a pain as I know I will loose the screws someday. They should have handes on the side. May do this myself. Using it with a Fender Mustang V amp head running stereo. Sounds good.

I love how this thing is way cheaper than alot of the amp cabs out there and its sturdy as hell and REALLY puts out some clear sound, using a Marshall MG 100HDFX head on it (I know, not the "greatest" amp heads ever and I am not a fan of solid state, but this particular head actually has killer tone with some pedals I have added in." I am totally a fan of Bugera amps now.

I dont think there is any CAB in the market that equals its features for the same price point.

If you think the stock speakers are stiff sounding, just play it though a couple times and it'll open up
I like that it has the ohm switching switching at the back

2 bugera speakers that are Jensen style with balanced sound to them
The build quality of the cab is very good, i initially expected less but was surprised how the construction was

The faux leather isnt that thick and might scratch easily(so i gave it a 9 there)

however if Tone is all that matter..definitely a 10
for not alot of money, it offers good value
