OVERVIEW

A stylish 3-channel tube combo with reverb driven by EL34 tubes.

The 333XL-212 is a cutting-edge, modern-style tube guitar amp designed for use in any situation or genre - the harder the better. The name says it all 3 - 3 - 3; three fully independent channels for three fully independent gain structures and tone stacks. The 333XL takes it up a notch - four notches to be exact, with the addition of an overall active Presence control; a very effective analog Noise Gate on the Lead channel; EL34 power tubes for a more compressed midrange (also compatible with a variety of output tubes); and an XL switch on the Crunch and Lead channels that adds serious bottom-end to your tone. Add to this two world-class BUGERA 12" speakers; an assignable, high-class reverb; remote-controllable FX Loop; and switchable power amp damping, and you've got one awesome tone machine – the 333-212.

This is a closeout model, and does not feature Infinium technology.

Comments about Bugera 333XL-212 120W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amp as a closeout deal. I've been looking for a new tube amp, and all of the ones I've been viewing have been in the multi-thousand range. Seeing the Bugera 333XL on closeout for 399, I had to take the chance. I received the item, plugged it in, and it sounded incredible. I got a great sound from both my Strat and my Brian May Signature. Then, after about an hour and a half of playing at about quarter volume (which was still very loud), the amp died on me completely. I understand it could be a simple soldering fix, but I don't purchase items brand new to fix them within the first 3 hours of use. All research I've seen shows this amp as a gamble. I gambled, I lost. I will be returning this amp as defective, and getting something much better.

Comments about Bugera 333XL-212 120W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

After much research and owning every brand over the course of 35 years, I ordered this amp. Tonewise it achieves the Fender sparkle clean, the Marshall harmonics distortion and beyond. Self biasing, bad tube indicators prevent many problems and expensive tube matching. 3 discrete channels all with solo boost, footswitchable. No other amp on the market offers that flexibility. I owned a $3k Mesa, I opted for a much less expensive Bugera. All of the circuit boards and tubes used in U.S.A. are built offshore. Many different names stamped on them. Bugera's mother company is Music Group, brands include Midas, Klark Teknic, Turbo Sound, Eurocom, Behringer, Bugera. If you choose to refer to Bugera as Behringer, why not Midas? 13 years ago I purchased Behringer stage monitors because I could afford them and planned to upgrade later. I have pounded them for over 13 years with no issues, still work great. Musicians Friend is showing this as a closeout but you have to pre-order? The factory is behind on shipments, does that sound like an amp everyone is trying to avoid? I had to order one from a camera shop in New Jersey to avoid pre-order with no definitive shipping date. Don't get too caught up in marketing of a brand name, they do come with a cost. I've had Crest and Mackie failures while my 1/4 priced Behringer stuff is still functioning. I personally couldn't justify a very pricey "boutique" amp when Bugera matches or surpasses the tones. Check out the many YouTube reviews and allow your ears to be your guide!

Comments about Bugera 333XL-212 120W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

The Bugera 333xl is an amp that makes nails on a chalkboard sound appealing. Don't get roped into the promise of that plentiful power tube section. You will pay more for modifications and re-tubing for the life of this amp than any other.

The speaker will go first, then you'll find yourself replacing it with an Eminence speaker. The tubes will then blow their lid, giving you no choice but to re-tube. The input jacks will FALL OFF! Remember those new tubes? Yeah the valves will blow out AGAIN and you now have a door stopper.

I had bought this amp years ago when the price tag was much higher. If my review doesn't change your opinion on this amp, my only advice is to change out those speakers and bring some Groove Tubes in of course.

Comments about Bugera 333XL-212 120W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

So I recently bought the Bugera 333xl with infinium technology. If you do not know what that is Bugera is the only company that has it so research it because this product is worth buying based on that alone. But I want to hit on the sound. I saw this amp compared to ENGL amps online and was outperforming them in my book but today I tried out a Mesa Boogie combo that had all the same features minus the infinium technology. I tried it out with a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser Diamond series which is the same I have at home and they were comparative, the Bugera though is much more affordable and has a better look if you are into that sort of thing....so stop reading reviews and purchase this amp...
