Comments about Bugera 6260 Infinium 120W 2-Channel Tube Guitar Amp Head:
So, I'm in a metal band and have been using a Line 6 Spider IV 150 2x12 combo through a Crate 4x12 cab, and, other than being heavy and awkward, has worked fairly well for me. Recently though, my co-guitarist bought a Peavey 6505+ w/matching cab. I instantly fell in love with the all tube tone. But being on a budget, I sought out to find something a little closer to my price range. And that's when I found the Bugera Infinium series of amps. I bought the 6260 and so far can't complain. I'm finding that it's a lot of fun to plug different guitars into it and really hear the differences between them. I'm 31 now, been playing for over 15 years, and this is my first tube amp. Don't know why I waited so long to get one, but essentially I'm glad I did.
Anyway, as for practicing in home with this thing....Well, it's loud! I typically keep the volume around 1. That's plenty loud enough, but you do lose a little at that low of a volume. I have yet to gig with it, as we just haven't had any shows since I purchased it a couple weeks ago. The clean channel is very nice and the crunch is just that: crunchy. But where this amp really shines is with a bit of volume, gain and EQ'd to your liking with a humbucker equipped guitar on the lead channel. I'm using a 2002 Epi Flying V (Gothic) and a 2004 Epi Les Paul (both tuned to drop C) and the tone is killer. Now it's no Peavey, but I'm fairly certain it'll keep up with one.
My recommendation......If you're on a budget, or have never owned a tube amp, but want to give it a go, this is definitely a solid choice. Like I said, it's no Peavey or Mesa, but has a very similar feel to those. Great gateway amp to a better higher end amp. Me personally, I think as long as the amp treats me good I'll stick with it. Might even pick up another one (6262 or Trirec) in the future.

Comments about Bugera 6260 Infinium 120W 2-Channel Tube Guitar Amp Head:
i think these amps are underratted. it seems built very solid. they are hand wired and any problems the first amps issued had seem to be taken care of. i totally love the sound and function of this amp and would like to see more people give them a chance. they would make a great first tube head for someone on a budget and should keep up at any venue. as far as road worthy i think it would be but i havnt put that to the test yet
