Stuffed full of '80s rock and metal sounds.

The gain structure and tone character of the 6262 is built on the same fundamentals as the 6260, but has more midrange, making it perfect for '80s rock and metal. You also get full control of EQ, Presence and Reverb on both channels.

A lot of amp manufacturers call their Treble/Mid/Bass knobs tone controls. Bugera calls theirs "EQ" because they spent a lot of time making sure that they each have a unique character. Treble really screams; Mid puts you about six rows into the audience; Low can add more growl more than an angry Kodiak bear.

The Presence control is tailored to smooth out your tone or add enough bite to cut through any cymbal. It can bring new life to darker sounding instruments.

This model does not feature Infinium technology.

Comments about Bugera 6262 120W 2-Channel Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Picked this up to give it a try primarily because of the cost and the fact that I didn't have a high gain head. I have many amps of differing types. Initial impression so far if a great high gain channel with an average or less clean channel. I have about 5 hours playing time on it including a 3 hour straight gig without any issues. I'd read about every article and blog about Bugera including this amp, and in fact in had sent a previous Bugera back that had problems. Not this model tho. I'd read about a faulty power connector so checked that out before in even turned it on and found that it had the factory fix. Tubes that come in these amps are always 'questionable' based on what you read on the internet and maybe they are. I am kind of a tube snob and I have quite a number of known good high quality the that I could exchange in this amp but it honestly sounded dang good so why? Still hard to believe I picked this up for the price. Would I have picked it up for twice what I paid? Probably, three times? Maybe. Will it be highly reliable and last 30 years like some amps that cost 10x as much, who cares?!

Comments about Bugera 6262 120W 2-Channel Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Bottom line: It's a great sounding amp. Gain for miles. But you do get what you pay for. Don't buy one at full price. It's made really cheap. My new one came with rusted out pins in the footswitch and the footswitch input on the jack itself was completely corroded. In my case I just have to live without a footswitch untill I can rig something. But I've read of people having these blow on first use and I believe it because it's a total copy of a better product. And it's meant to be cheap. As long as you get a good price it's worth it. I got mine on clearance for twotwentynine. Anymore than that and I'd be mad.
