Gets a 9. You get a lot for your $108 with this amp. I bought it in the hope I would get a really good sound that could be miked in case I ever get to play a gig again. I don't need headphone hookup or CD hookup--I'll never use them. You get a nice sounding super portable amp for your bucks.
I only gave it a 7 due to: 1.no reverb, 2.no extension speaker hookup 3.no standby switch, 4. that's about it. Take out the headphone hookup and CD hookup features--I will never use these, and replace them with an extension speaker cab hookup, and that would do it.
Gave it an 8, as I haven't had it long. Seems solid.
A very good buy. Makes some very nice sounds. I have tried my Fender model 51, and my Gretch electromatic, and both get along well with this amp. I miss no extension speaker hookup, as it would be cool to get a 2x10 cab and be able to use this as a head in a small club setting.I really don't miss the no reverb.

I have both this model and the Bugera V5. I successfully tamed my V5 with a 12au7 preamp, weber spr and a new pwr tube. This gave it a much tighter bottom end and much less feedback issues. I was finding the gain range from 3 to 4 to be my sweet spot, and replacing the pre-amp tube with a lower gain tube allowed that sweet spot to spread between 7 and 12. A 12ay7 might work nearly as well.Anywho, I figured I'd try the same with my BC15, but the attempt failed and it may important for others to know why.To replace the tube, you need to remove the four fairly obvious screws holding the metal chassis. The entire chassis can then pull out of the amp (but be careful not to pull the spkr wires out - they're soldered to the spkr and do not disconnect from the chassis via any 1/4" jack, as is common).Anyway, long story short, I theorize they buried the pre-amp tube BECAUSE IT DOESN'T DO DIDDLY SQUAT! I replaced the 12ax7 with a 12au7 which should completely change both the volume and the gain and the tone of the amp. It did on the V5 to my pleasure, but the change did absolutely NOTHING to the BC15! Even if the clean channel didn't change, but the gain pot should've shown a huge difference. It didn't.I actually own two of these so I was able to compare stock to mod and both sounded ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL after the mod.So, I believe very firmly that the preamp tube here is doing little more than passing the signal through and the gain pot is actually controlling something other than the volume entering the pre-amp stage.I liked the amp much less than the V5, and now even more so because it seems designed on a lie.If anyone can explain / justify, I'll be happy to remove this negative comment. At some point I'll reverse engineer the circuit board and perhaps solve the mystery. Feel free to email if you wanna be part of the search.Regarding my ratings:Features - average: Tone sculpting options are a great idea, but are poorly implemented. Basically not a very good tone stack in it. No reverb, which I think is essential to any amp, and the V5 has a decent digital one they should've included in the BC15. CD input (which functions even if no pre-amp tube is in place, btw) brings the score back to 'avg'.Quality - average:. No signs of decay or breakage, but it's all ceramic, electolytic caps (maybe a couple of green cheapies, too) and micro-pots and micro resistors. Nothing beefy, which is fine for the price range, but still it's low end components.Value / Overall - tad above average: Only because it does have a decent blue spkr and tube tone (no matter how it's generated). Still brittle tonally, like a 100% SS amp, but has a bit more girth.

Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
This is a very small, very rugged, very retro, very loud 15w tube amp with an amazing 8" speaker (I should say, at first plug in, I was not impressed, but give that speaker some time to break in at lower volumes). It sounds so good alone, that I don't even need to put effects into it...just a little reverb.
Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I really loved the sound of this little amp but I cannot recommend it.Great vintage appearance and tones. Wonderful tube tones and it was perfect in size for practicing in the basement. It really excelled in Blues and Jazz tones but when played through my Digitech RP90 it would generate crunching metal tones and great Rockabilly, as well. It and would peel the paint off of the walls when cranked up but caveat emptor when considering this amp. If your looking to gig in a small venue get something else.
I gave a No Opinion because I didn't want to penalize it for being a "Plain Jane." It wasn't designed for someone wanting a wanting a lot of settings. I bought it with the intent of running my Digitech RP90 through it and it was perfect for this kind of set up.
Here is the "but" part in my review title. The amp died after 6 months and my subsequent research on Bugera and their parent company, Behringer revealed that this product lines have reliability issues. I even saw a comment on a blog from a GC employee who stated that Behringer/Bugera is their most returned product. Google "Bugera amp died" and you will find that these products, regardless of model have these issues. The amp appears to be a little tank but internally it has issues.
If this thing didn't have reliability problems I would give it a 5. It's only a little over 100 bucks but what good is the price when it dies after 6 months?

The Bugera BC15 if someone is looking for that classic raw sound of the '50s & '60s they can't go wrong.
This was my first purchase of an amp since 1964. After several failed attempts to get the sound I wanted out of newer models finding this retro was exactly what I was looking for in an amp.
From the first time I turned it on there was the sound. No confusing array of knobs & buttons.

Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I've had this Amp for almost a month now and here are my thoughts. First off, we're talking about an inexpensive amp here, so it's only fair to rate is as such. I'll get the negative stuff out of the way. It's ugly. By that I mean that the word "ugly" is probably offended by being associated with this amp. The colors depicted on the product website are not entirely accurate. When I opened it up my first impression was that of those plastic toy farm animals from back in the 70s. "Vintage" is not quite right - more like "cheap". Now on to the good stuff. It sounds pretty darn good at any volume. I like the clean channel more so than the overdrive, which came off a little loose when pushed hard. Again though it's $100 - and it's plenty loud for a practice amp. After a week of goofing off with it, I plugged a Line 6 POD X3 into it. WOW. I liked this ugly little amp enough on it's own, but with some effects pushed into it I was impressed. I think that for my purposes this thing has been great. I needed an affordable practice amp for on the go and in that context it's great. As with any amp this size, you won't feel the bottom end since that small speaker doesn't move a lot of air, but you shouldn't expect that from it in the first place. As long as you can get past it's looks (which the picture does not accurately depict) you should find this amp a pretty good on the go practice amp.

For an eight inch speaker what awesome sound even with a cheap mic,you can get alot of differant sound options with controls. Sounds like the bigger amps with certain control settings
Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I got may amp today and am very satisfied. It does everything as advertised. I have a strat, tele, and a Les Paul, and everthing sounds good through this amp. My electric acoustic sounds good also. I have a V5 and this amp has more adjustment capabilities. The amp is perfect for practicing in a small room. I like the headphone feature also. This amp is a bargain. I would buy another if this one failed.

I am always dubious when something seems too good to be true... but this little beauty seems pretty fine at first glance. The tube sound is sweet on clean and really growls when the button is pushed... a great vintage sound... breaks up well at full gain, and when the button is pushed... It's pretty loud for 15 watts and should even do a small room gig. It seems pretty solid, but only use will tell that for sure. Makes my old sg and tele both sound great.
