Bugera

A powerhouse 3,600W bass amp with extensive tonal control.

The Bugera BTX3600 Bass Amp Head is called The Nuke for a good reason—with 3600W in bridged mode and 2 x 1800W in stereo or biamped mode, this bad boy is one powerhouse bass amp.

Bugera's The Nuke bass amp head isn't just about power, though, thanks to its staggering array of tone-sculpting options. The Bugera Nuke Amp has a 3-band EQ with sweepable mids; Ultra-High, Ultra-Low, and Bright switches; and a 9-band graphic EQ.

A built-in adjustable compressor and switchable limiter ensure distortion-free performance. And if bi-amping is your thing, you'll love this Bugera bass amps' onboard crossover with Balance control. The Nuke bass amplifier even provides XLR and 1/4" outputs to send the biamped signal to the front of the house.

Need even more features? How about 2 Insert channels with Preamp Out and Power Amp In connections? How about a footswitchable stereo Effects Loops? The Bugera BTX36000 The Nuke bass amplifier even comes with the footswitch, pulling double-duty for FX and the graphic EQ.

Very good bass head powerful easy to use and it really takes the hit. For that price you will not find something better. I have play up to 4 consecutive hours ratting the volume 80% and it kicks butts with no problem.

My head receintly took a dive and I needed something quick for an upcoming show. So I stopped in a local music shop and saw this sucker sitting on a 4x10 cab. I immediately laughed my @$$ off when I saw saw the words "THE NUKE" on the front of it and I knew just had to play it. To my surprise it sounded great! I know Bugera is owned by Beheringer(which I dislike) but I bought it anyway because how could I pass up 3300 friggin' watts at that price? Turns out this amp SMOKES. It's huge beyond comprehension. It's not only loud but I can do some serious tone shaping with it and it sounds fantastic! The only things that I don't like about it are that it's heavy as heck and it doesn't have a 1/4" jack in the back (you need a speak-on cable or adapter). Other then that this monster is amazing. Don't get me wrong, there are other amps out there that are better. But for the money? No way.

NOT TUBE

it is kind of insulting to our intelligence that they list this under the "tube amps" section. This would have to be the size of a refrigerator and weigh 1000 pounds in order to put out 3600 watts from tubes. As for the tone, I do not think there are any tubes in here. It gets loud, but it does not sound fat or warm. Just loud. IF all you care about is loud, be my guest. If you would like you amp to sound good, keep searching.

I bought this amp a couple of weeks ago and had to send it back. I was completely unhappy with the "power" to begin with. Don't be blinded by the alleged 3600 watt rating. At our second band practice with the head, it stopped outputting sound. I turned it off and waited about  five minutes and tried again. After repeating the process for about fifteen minutes I decided that it is NOT reliable enough to keep.
