OVERVIEW

A fantastic, medium-powered, highly portable 1x12" tube combo.

Building on Bugera's original and inspired V22 amp design, the impressively full-featured and handbuilt, 22W, 2-Channel Vintage V22 Infinium tube combo amplifier not only exudes vintage sound and style, but possesses modern features that will launch your tone into the sonic stratosphere. Loaded with three 12AX7 preamp and two EL84 power tubes, this incredible boutique-style powerhouse gives you the flexibility of two independent channels and selectable reverb, both switchable via the included heavy-duty footswitch. Add to this to the revolutionary Infinium Tube Life Multiplier Technology and amazing 12" Turbosound speaker, and the Vintage V55 Infinium becomes one extraordinarily versatile tone-machine that is ideally-suited for the studio, stage, practice room and concert hall!

The Vintage V22 Infinium features true Class-A technology with a three 12AX7 front-end and two EL84 tube power stage. A masterfully crafted all-tube combo amplifier, the V22 provides sweetly-balanced harmonics and natural tube compression, resulting in the warm distortion and break-up you™ve come to appreciate from those treasured vintage amplifiers of yesteryear.

The hand-selected 12AX7 preamp tubes in Vintage V22 Infinium' classic ˜60s-era preamp provide everything from sweetly purring blues to mind-blowing crunch. Often employed in British-style amplifiers, the EL84 output tube is known for its crisp and chiming tonal quality when pushed to the max, and the V22 harnesses every ounce of that power to awesome effect.

Infinium Tube Life Multiplier Technology
Years in the making, our Infinium Tube Life Multiplier Technology can extend the usable lifespan of your amplifier' expensive power tubes by up to 20 times, saving you huge money and ensuring the integrity of your tone. How? This revolutionary circuit automatically and continuously monitors the performance of each output tube, and dynamically drives it towards the target operating point, for an evenly distributed load.

Infinium also compensates for the effects of aging, automatically adjusting current levels to keep your tubes sounding as good as new “ even when AC line voltages drop below nominal levels. Similar technology has been used for decades in all-wheel drive cars, where systems modulate the power going to each wheel to improve traction. Just consider Infinium Series amps œ4-wheel drive for your guitar.

Infinium Series amps take all the guesswork out of tube replacement by illuminating an LED next to a tube that is reaching the end of its usable lifespan. And thanks to Infinium' Auto-Bias design, you simply replace the indicated tube “ without a trip to the repair shop, saving you even more money.

First, I do like the sound and features of the amp. The clean channel has great tone and the gain channel sounds good with gain set around 2 or 3 with a nice bluesy breakup. I'm not thrilled with the gain higher than that but a new set of tubes might help a bit. The reverb is better than I expected and the footswitch feels solid although the cable for it is pretty flimsy. However, I found that it has a bad power tube right out of the box. From the first time I tried it I noticed a rattle noise when I play certain notes, even at low volume and clean or dirty. I did some troubleshooting and pinpointed the noise to the tube - with the power OFF, a gentle tap with the tip of a pencil on tube 1 produces the same noise, the others are all quiet. Considering where this shipped from I wasn't really that upset and as I said, I like the sound of the amp.

Comments about Bugera V22 Infinium 22W 1x12 All Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Been plasying 30 years and this is one of the nicest Tube Amps you could ever own. I dumped my AC 15 with the two Greenbacks for this because it sounds so much better. Built to last! One of the STURDIEST Amps you'll ever own and by far one of the BEST SOUNDING AMPS on the market today at a 1/3 of the price of whay you would pay for a good 5 Watt amp. This is the BEST BUY on the Market for a Tube amp bar none and I have owned about EVERY tube amp under $1200 in my 59 years of Life, and my 30 plus years of Playing Electric Guitar.

Comments about Bugera V22 Infinium 22W 1x12 All Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Just got into tube amps within the past year and wanted something with a little more oomph )and minus the digital voicings) than the small Fender I was using. I took a chance on this one based on reviews read and couldn't be happier. Excellent tone! I play a Fender American Deluxe Strat and an Epi Casino with modded pickups (a little less hot than stock) through it and am impressed at the articulation and flexibility. It's a heavy little monster but a nice sounding (and looking) amp.

Comments about Bugera V22 Infinium 22W 1x12 All Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I've played many tube amps in my life. For the price, this is by far the best deal in terms of quality. It sounds great, it's versatile and it looks beautiful. It's a bit large for 22 watts, but it's worth every cent.

Been playing over 20 years go this Amp with2 inches of dust on on it. Plugged it in to the replace tubes flashing (remember, this is the amp where the tubes last 20 times longer ?) The ting had one tube light up and shrieked like a Banshee. What a waste of time and money. Totally undependable . Save your money and get a GOOD TUBE amp. You get what you pay for and this amp is not worth it's price IMO

Wow, Wow, fantastic amp, love everything about it especially standby switch, have owned several amps including Fender blues junior, this amp is the best amp I have ever used and is built like a tank, easy to get the sound I was looking for, I took a Fender Squier strat and souped it up with Tex-Mex pickups with all new wiring especially + and - wiring, the difference in tone was 100% improved. This amp should last me for years and years. Thanks MF

Comments about Bugera V22 Infinium 22W 1x12 All Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Very nice amp for the money! My first tube amp in a long time, but have played through Fenders, Marshall,s and , Peavy's! Am very surprised at the clean channel, even better sound than what I heard through YouTube reviews! The gain side is ok, but can get better sounds with analog pedals! Good sustain with my Les Paul, and my Strat never sounded this good through my Vox Valvetonix. So far, so good! Have to wait and see if the Infinium technology will extend valve life above normal. Also the amp really looks great, but heavy! Like the pentode, triode switch!

Comments about Bugera V22 Infinium 22W 1x12 All Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I've had the V22 Infinium for a week now, was planning to wait 30 days, but I've heard all I need to hear at this point to write a review. This is a budget priced amp, there's no secret there, and I was not really expecting this thing to run laps with my Marshall JMP MKII 2203, '64 Bassman, or '67 Super Reverb, but rather that it would make a good at home jam amp that would get descent clean tone @ lower master levels. I was very wrong about what this amp is. I have owned several excellent modern production valve amps as well as my hard earned vintage circuit pieces mentioned and I can say in all honesty, the V22 has quality of tone that in no way sounds less inspiring than those amps. From 3 dimensional clean with as much headroom as you want, to kerrang breakup with a ton of hair and growl, this amp sounds amazing anywhere I put the controls. Does what only EL84s can do, and does it with it's own character and attitude. It looks like a Matchless, sounds like a Marshall pre mated to a Vox power circuit on gain, and like a black face Fender pre mated to a Peavey Classic power circuit on clean. The reverb isn't spring, but I'm really surprised how it matches and augments the quality of tones this amp produces. The only criticism I have is that the old QC problems with fastener torque and tubes rattling in the sockets have not been eliminated still. There was a small screw rolling around in my chassis and the power amp valves buzz around under certain frequencies. Bear in mind, these are cheap, low quality valves in this amp, I can only imagine how much better this amp will sound with JJs, or Tung Sols (I'll find out soon). At this price, there is nothing that can touch this amp. If classic rock/hard rock/ blues/garage rock/ etc. is your bag, this amp has the tones you're looking for. Even if you had a few grand to throw around, don't discount the V22, you might get all the tone you wanted for less than a quarter of the price you expected.

I use this for personal practice and playing with other guys for fun. I love the pure and living sound of tubes. This makes my Line 6 Jam clean sounds sound not so good. The amp is plenty loud and the tone adjustments presence, bass, so forth, really change your sound. You can get any sound just about except metal, of course. My amp came with a bad tube rattle; but I love the am so much, I went ahead and ordered some new JJ tubes. I ended up putting the original Burgera power tubes back in the amp as they sound better in that part of the amp than JJs. I would recommend the amp in a minute, but have the company you buy from pull it out of the box and run the amp with the gain turned up in second channel to check your tubes.
