Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1 Standard Guitar Headphone Amp:
I bought this for private playing when traveling and at home when I'm up and ready to play and the rest of the house is sleeping. I didn't expect it to sound like my Fender or Ampeg but I'm really happy with the sound and variety of combinations from relatively clean for picking and good distortion for jamming. It's not a super heavy duty design but the last time I got an amp for this price was 1969 at [@] and this sounds a whole lot better.
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1 Standard Guitar Headphone Amp:
Overall, it is a good product that does what it says. I would pay more for a sturdier amp case and better quality headphones and I would like them to filter out the hum.
For the price, the standard version has a good selection of features. Clean really is clean and the distortion settings sound great. Why did they call the eq a filter? It doesn't seem to have much effect but does some bandpass adjustment.
I have an older version that I have had for years. It seems much more sturdy than the new one which just feels flimsy, especially around the battery compartment, and the super-cheapo headphones. The newer one has a more pronounced hum than the older one.
Good value but I would like it beefed up so I don't have to be afraid of breaking the amp or headphones.

Love this little thing. I leave this thing plugged into my SG. Anytime I have a few minutes, I grab it and can walk around the house & have a private jam session. It's also great for practicing new stuff late at night. The sound is pretty good for such a small unit. It's a bit "twangy", but for the price, you can't beat it!
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1 Standard Guitar Headphone Amp:
I absolutely love this little Amp. It has great distortion tone and a nice clean sound. I originally had the Vox but it sounded so wretched I gave it a way. For the same price the S1 has way more to offer: the case is rock solid and the rotating input plug is really slick and the varriable eq slider gives a nice bit of added tonal flexibility. If you are looking for a portable amp that delivers real amp tones then this is for you.
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1 Standard Guitar Headphone Amp:
The first thing you'll notice is the poor quality. The unit feels like a cheap plastic toy. It was a chore to get the 9-volt battery to fit properly. The Pockett Rock-It comes with the cheapest looking and sounding headphones you're likely to encounter. Ditch them. The Rock-It has a harsh, tinny sound. I tried progressively more expensive headphones to see if I could get rid of that tinny sound. I was up to a $100 pair before the sound became bearable. The rotating plug works well on a Stratocaster, not so well on models where the jack is not on the top of the guitar. Before buying the Rock-It, check out the competition. The Vox amPlugs cost only a little more, but sound better and are more compact. The Waves iGTR has more features, sounds much better, and has mmuch better quality. The Korg Pandora PX4D is way more expensive, but has so many features that it's worth every penny, and it sounds great.

I received this Pocket rock-it on the mail a month ago, and so far so good. the sound is great, Clean is perfect, distortion 1 and 2 are pretty nice to mess around with. I can't say this pocket amp will get you a crunchy metal tone but it will kick !@#$ for simple practices in a small area.
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1 Standard Guitar Headphone Amp:
I recieved the pocket rock-it for a gift, from my dad. My brother loves it cause I can play without bothering him. Also, with a strap, you can play to yourself and practice on the go! It has a wide range of effects like ordinary things like gain, and distortion, but also, neat and useful things like metronome, or amps! This is a great idea for a student or hobbyist playing electric guitar, and I highly recomend buying it!!!
